nedum360:If you have a resident permit in UAE and got denied, it means you didn't prove away ties. So he asked you to apply from home. But not to worry because you still can make it. Getting a visa is not difficult if you do "the right thing." Of course you can reapply. But first try to figure out what caused your denial or you post your interview here. |

DeeTus: I've resident permit. I showed employment letter and personal statement of account of over 5k dollars above cost of attendance. Which other ties dem expect? What do you describe as the 'right' thing? |

waledudu: Thought F1 cannot participate in paid employment outside of the campus. Except You have OPT or have declared harsh economic conditions. This is quite new. How do you explain this away to police if you are unfortunate to be caught? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Mayflowa(m): 12:41am On Mar 08, 2016 |
nedum360: You were denied because you were once denied in Nigeria. This is quite trickish to be sincere. How wud you prove home ties to Nigeria when you have all your investments and dealings in Dubai? Don't just rush. Think it through very well before booking |

DeeTus: Even guys with 5 years were denied though they're mostly going for Visitors visa. N I noticed one thing all the foreigners were denied even those with 8 years stay. They mostly gave to female citizens of the country both young and old especially those that cannot speak any word of English. Maybe they're of the hope they can't survive abroad and would definitely come back. |

Abeg, which Embassy is the best to apply for visa in naija. Issued a 214b in a foreign consulate and advised to go apply from Nigeria. Also, I was issued a 214b in Abuja in 2014 when I was going for an mph. The whole thing don dey tire me. Cc : imperioux, Bigfrancis, Walspring, Zeezah, Slimmy and all the gurus in the house. Your input would be highly appreciated |

nedum360: Your computer records are the same wherever you go showing your rejections. Until you can prove some strong ties to return home this may continue wherever you try. In fact moving around probably makes it worse. 1 Like |

Richmond996: I know how it feels. Even government subsizied loan gives headache when you think about how to start paying back $100K+ six months after graduation. Loan forgiveness is a brilliant idea. One of our targets is veterans affairs hospital. They forgive student loans. |

Mayflowa: Yes its true that as an F1 student you are not allow to work outside the campus except if you have EAD card but i know a lot of international students that are doing Uber/Lyft to support themselves. Police officers will only stop you if you commit an offence while driving and to the best of my knowledge they will not ask you for your work permit, what they will ask from you is your driver licence, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration. 5 Likes |
