While price of rice is going for 15k the governor is thinking of export, while the local market is short of supply . This is propaganda. I wonder why people believe everything they hear about my governor and development. Onitsha is a waste land. 3 Likes 1 Share |
Just wish someone could talk to Obiano about the price hike of land in Anambra. Ma dad bought a land in Awka last year for 7mill. Now land is going for 13mil in the same location and 17 mill in some other strategic locations I know of supply and demand but you can't ask igbos to return home and when they start to do, we begin to hike prices [/quo te] Ala obi nna gi kwanu |

feldido:Standard might be the same but the taste will still be different. Like Thailand rice and Indian rice... same standard but completely different taste. Or jasmine rice and basmati rice.... Our people are used to the taste of foreign important non organic rice. It will take a while for us to appreciate our own. That's why I encourage the exportation, cos once the white man starts patronising, then we will follow! Sadly that's who we are... |

Even America has seen the potentials in that state and have been sending delegations upon delegations for partnership in business. America seems to have abandoned the federal government for Anambra. Thats what quality leadership can do to a community. 3 Likes |

raker300: i have a friend that bought a plot of land in awka last year for 350K the problem is if you go to the high end areas ie developed areas of awka to buy land the price will be high...just the same way it is in Lagos,Abuja,Enugu and all major cities and state capitals. |

raker300:He has no business with that, Nigeria operates a capitalist economy not socialist or communism! You said yourself, price is a derivative of demand & supply, he cant tell people how much they must sell their land. That land is so expensive there shows there are so many money-bags willing to buy at any price!! Here in Owerri, lands around new Owerri axis can go for as much as a hundred million per plot while in the suburbs like Egbu, Nekede, Orji, Naze etc you can get a plot for as low as 1.5 million! You can check "Biafrarep" handle for more details. 1 Like |

5starmilitant: Read my posts, I never mentioned exporting, first they should improve on the quality of the rice and feed Nigerians before thinking of exporting. You can't claim to export rice why you yourself eat imported rice. 1 Like |

You are crying already when Greenwood(Millennium city) area of Awka is now going for 80-120 mil per plot depending on the location. I know this because Coscharis just concluded a deal there recently. The truth is that there is a very high demand for people all over Igboland and beyond which is forcing the price up. raker300: 1 Like |

Why export when we also need to flood our markets with our products first. Please roll the rice out and lets reduce rice importation. 1 Like |

This is commendable I urge all the Governors in the south east and south south to provide an enabling environment for our people to come home and establish industries for the betterment of our zone. More so our people should start divesting from Kano, Lagos and move down home to improve our region. |

Viktor1983: So what's wrong with his statement God bless Igbos?? We really need to shed this arrogance, hardwork and industry is not the preserve of one state. I live abroad and i have seen strides made by Igbos from every state and the massive investments they are making home and abroad, not everyone is busy making unnecessary noise.. God bless Ndigbo God bless Nigeria |
