Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by worry359(m): 8:38pm On Mar 06, 2016 |
kendyk: Simple. Get passport (pay) Get visa (pay) Join pilgrimage tour company (Pay) Buy air ticket (pay) If you have funds not difficult, just time consuming. If you have no funds then difficult. 2 Likes |

kendyk:You need a valid International passport, you will pay to the agency you are going with (the payment is for your visa, ticket, accommodation, feeding(buffet) and tourism) Then you will go to Christian Pilgrimage office at Alausa with the other members, where you will be asked questions on why you want to go. Then prepare your bag for the set day of travel. NB: you will be given an online visa,on the list the names of everyone travelling will be stated, passport number, occupation, countries you have visited before etc) It is this list that will be presented as a group at the airports. You will have a stop over at Addis Ababa,Ethiopia as there's no direct flight to Tel Aviv. When you get to Tel Aviv, the receiving tour company in Israel will receive you at the airport and take you all to the hotel, where you would relax before the tour begins. It's a nice experience bro. If you have any further question, you ask me here and I would be pleased to answer.Just mention me. Shalom 11 Likes |

In addition, when you get to Tel Aviv, each one of you will be given an Entry permit (a small paper showing your details and the date you are expected to leave Israel) and on departing, you will be issued an Exit permit. The tour company in Israel will give you a Certificate on completion of the pilgrimage, you can also do Baptism in River Jordan at Yardenit and you would get a certificate for this as well. Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by Onile1979: 7:16pm On Dec 30, 2016 |
@nysot, my question are? (1) is there a freedom of movememt during the pilgrimage that can permit visiting a friend in istrea? (2) what questions do ask u at Alausa during ur time? |
Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by nysot(f): 7:48pm On Dec 30, 2016 |
Onile1979:1. No and Yes. No,because you are usually with your other group members and tour guide. Yes,because your friend can visit you at your hotel and when you take a walk at night, you can go see whoever around your hotel but you have to come back to the hotel room that night. Also, you need to be careful going out anyhow because of immigration issues and the pilgrimage company that brought you to Israel keeps an eye on you because some people use that medium to escape to another country. 2. a. Why I wanted to travel b. My bank statement c. Countries I've been to d. Employment details e. If it was self sponsored etc. NB: After my first pilgrimage, they didn't ask me some of those questions again for other pilgrimages |
Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by nysot(f): 8:38pm On Dec 30, 2016 |
@ onile1979, 1. No specific BTA required (none that I know of all the times I've been going) 2. You don't need to fill a form to go out. Once you guys are back from the day's activities, you can stroll out of the hotel NB:It starts getting dark as early as 5:30pm, so you may really not be comfortable staying out for long. 3. Yes,the tour guide stays in the same hotel but in separate rooms 4. The people I usually go with go at least thrice in a year. I've gone in January/February,June,April 5. Didn't go with church members but group members (those going with the tour agency I used). These are people from different denominations 6. Yes,they did. You can tell them you lost the passport but I don't know how that will play out because on the group visa that will be given countries each of you have visited will be listed there and if there's none,no problem. Just give satisfactory answers 7. I honestly don't know a thing about registration. The agency gives us forms to fill and we do and attach all necessary documents. Then she does the submission, all I wait to hear from her is the day we all will meet at Alausa for screening and time. Once I go and answer my questions, I only wait to hear visa is issued and travel date. Then meet others at the airport on the set date. She does the ticket booking and all communication with the tour company in Israel, so I don't know anything about registration sir |

@ onile1979, kindly stop modifying your posts to ask questions. If you have new question(s),you write that separately so that other people reading the thread to enquire about one or two things can see the questions asked and answers given. Also to ensure the same question(s) are not asked again. Regards 3 Likes |

Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by nysot(f): 5:19am On Dec 31, 2016 |
@ onile1979, I forgot to add that you seeing your friend or your friend visiting you in your hotel depends on the city/state you are. There are some places that are 1-4hrs to each other. You can be in Lagos and your friend is in Ibadan/Benin or you both may be in Lagos but one is on the Mainland eg Okokomaiko and the other on the Island eg Ibeju Lekki which makes seeing difficult due to the time you would be free. Just like the way Nigeria is,Nigeria is a country that has different states with cities likewise State of Israel as called. There, you have places like Tiberias, Tel Aviv, Eilat, Bethlehem, Jerusalem etc. |

Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by nysot(f): 12:39am On Jan 08, 2017 |
@ onile1975 1. Not necessary but will still answer. Like I stated I go every year. Last time was June 2016 and I'm planning another for April 2017, haven't concluded yet though. 2. They give an entry permit after looking at your passport and online visa. They don't hold on to your passport 3. Same as 2 4. I honestly don't know how it works, you can make enquiries about them. Haven't gone with them before so I can't say. Regards |

(6) do they check ur phone,ur bag or explain how they check u from muritala airport and tel aviv airport? Re: Pilgrimage To Israel by nysot(f): 7:55am On Jan 08, 2017 |
@ onile1975, 1. The online visa is a group visa and the period of stay is not stated. It is on your entry permit they will state how long you can stay. Depending on the period your tour company had arranged with the group. They may add additional 2days but you still have to leave as a group,no one stays behind. 2. Can't paste that, people's personal information are there. Besides, it is the tour company leader that usually have it in their care and present it at each airport. I only have access to it because the person I travel with is a mom to me but can't post and can't send to no one, sorry. 3. Question answered many times here. Group visa;kindly reread the thread for more 4. My last trip in June, I paid #650,000 (Economy class). Dollar exchange rate on my set travel date was #373 to a dollar. 5. You can hold as much as you like, though not advisable as you can use your Master card when there. 6. In Nigeria, there were times we weren't checked because of the tour owner's reputation. We all give them our luggage and they pass. I was only checked once. I opened my luggage and they checked, that's all. At Tel Aviv, they already have their machine/scanner so they don't need to open your box the naija way. 7. I have never done that before while going out. I don't go way too far from my hotel and anyone that wants to see me comes to my hotel. We stay at the lounge, talk wetin we wan talk and some times, the person lodges there too. 8. I'm sorry, I can't do that. Na nairaland I dey do my businesses dey make money to chop and travel, I no wan chop ban. Regards 1 Like |

onile1975:You need to face some unpleasant facts! If you do not have the money then you can not travel. Why are you so desperate to get to Israel? What do you intend to do if you get there? 7 Likes |
