[quote author=NNBB2012 post=43591893] He should apply for PR instead of applying as a student. It is very expensive.[/quote We discussed our options but we decided to settle for studying. He will apply for pr when he gets there during or after his studies. He is an academia. |

MASMEK2016: What programme are you pursuing at University of Newcastle? You won't get positive assessment from Vetassess with this qualifications mentioned above since what is required is minimum Australian Bachelor degree equivalent. HND is equivalent to 2yrs Advanced Diploma in Australia not even 3yrs Associate Degree. Do not waste your money at this juncture. The best thing is to ensure you do a MSc or Australian Bachelor degree before you can be assessed positively by Vetasses. |

Please is DIBP on strike? Seems nobody is waiting for his/her grant from Pretoria. There just seems to be a huge silence on grants on this room since February. 2 Likes |

jorgan:My brother I've not heard anything since January and all attempts to get intouch with both TLS and DIBP seems to hit the brick, this is more like a blind application, faith is my only strength, whteva happened to SVP applications, I thought it was jst 15working days or less. Meanwhile I heard SVP applications are only submitted online. Paper applications are not SVP, don't know how much that holds water. 1 Like |

I can say that I'm impressed with how queries are handled with much maturity and purpose here. I have some enquiries and I hope that our informed nairalanders will oblige me. 1. I want to apply for a subclass 189 visa 2. I have a B.Sc in Political Science, with Management and Customer Relationship Management certifications. 3. I currently work for my uncle and its a one man business, while I get commissions, its a marketing job. Due to the 'family thing', we dont deal with payslips, in fact there is no evidence of salary in my account, although I have a reasonable amount of money in my account. I also do not have a contract letter, although my uncle can always prepare me one. How then do I answer employment questions? As my qualification and experience is not listed on the skill list, what should I do, although I have some teaching experience. Please I will appreciate detailed advice and more information. |

Hello there, was drawn to comment on this one. With ACCA Uk , you will most definitely get a positive assessment with ICAA or other acting bodies. Also if your experience in accting n auditing was post qualification, it can even give you additional 10points. We have had guys on this forum that got a positive assessment with just their ICAN results. But dude , you need to read extensively, requirements on the Australian immigration website and also in relation to the assessing body. That would do you a lot of good. Cheers MASMEK2016: 1 Like |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by bellong: 8:20pm On Mar 09, 2016 |
7Alexander: Don't be misinformed, if your occupation is not listed on either SOL OR CSOL, there's nothing you can do except you go through student visa. However, since you have experience in customer relationship, you can check the CSOL list if there's any state sponsoring it. In addition, it will do you good to read proper information on border Force's website than allowing someone to ignorantly mislead you. 2 Likes |

DeeTus: @Deetus. You need to stop giving people wrong advises. What country are you in presently and what visa have you got? You don't even know the genesis of this thread and Bellong whom you just quoted hold a PR, currently resides in Australia and has vast knowledge about australia migration. I'm seriously surprised with your sudden switch from the USA thread to this thread. You sound like a typical agent. 9 Likes |

bellong:thank you bellong, wouldn't going through a student visa be too tedious and expensive, considering that I will need to pay tuition if offered admission? OK, I just saw my profession listed in the CSOL list, but it further reads that I will be eligible to apply for the visa 190. Please I do not fully understand the difference between the Skilled Independent and the Skilled Nominated Visas, Bellong, I will appreciate if you will help me comprehend. Thank you for your intervention |

johnsontade:I'm sorry if I hurt anyone here but having a PR is not a big deal. My uncle holds both Australian and New Zealand passports. He's a lecturer in one of the universities in Australia and has lived there for close to 15 years. Besides, it's always nice to ask questions using please so that you wouldn't come off being rude. When I ask someone a question or questions, I just want to determine direction for final solution because every candidate is unique. Insults are not solution to people's problem and no one knows it all. |

Jetspeed: Sincerely, your own case seems to be straight forward because of your MBA which is an AQF level 8 in Australia. On your own, check if ACCA is equivalent to AQF level 7 or 8 in Australia. I would also advise you to pay for their advisory path just to be sure if you would be given positive assessment. It is cheaper and quicker than the actual assessment. You can read the requirement of Internal Auditor from the link below. http://www.vetassess.com.au/Portals/0/Downloads/qualification_assessment/InternalAuditor.pdf?v=100 |
