Nigerians blast Lekki gardens after a collapsed building killed 18 people

Nigerians have taken to social media to slam popular real estate company, Lekki Gardens after a five storey building collapsed in Ikate Elegushi area of Lagos, killed 18 persons among whom was a woman and her three-year-old child.

Lekki Gardens? I doubt the owners of that company use their own workers / Materials to build their own houses

Why do we always wait for disasters to occur in this Country, before we begin to "slam"? Those of you who some how knew substandard materials were used in erecting the now collapsed structure, why didn't you" slam" then?

This is what u get wen u build a house in one week without proper planning all in d name of makin profit, Lekki Gardens will neva be the same after this.

Many get arrested but after the long court process extremely few people endup in prison.

Even the bereaved families can bring a civil suit if the government does not bring a criminal suit. Thay should bring a class action against the developers

Lekki Gardens! And the most annoying part is wen buyers are subjected to pay in millions for those houses, not knowing they were built with sub-standard materials.

Big building can collapse anytime. I've never seen a face me i face you building that has collapsed before. Face me I face you buildings are actually made from standard materials unlike these big buildings that people just rush to complete.

Dear God,have mercy and save our country. Everyday is one sad news or the other - Boko Haram killings,road accidents,fulani herdsmen killings,loss of jobs and businesses,system failures,hike in prices of virtually everything,fall in value of naira,renege on election campaign promises,corruption,kidnapping and abduction of teenage girls,ritual killings..
