ycat:so we can't call ourselves "we" anymore, can you please explain why we can't. Thanks |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by ycat: 9:06am On Mar 10, 2016 |
You can't have your tongues deep in the ass of your enemies and still say "we Yoruba", or get stumble on a thread where Yoruba are being bashed, only to be showering your antagonists with praises and say "I'm Yoruba". They say only bastard points to his father's house with the left finger. I believe any Yoruba who still want to be in the same country with hausa and ibos is not only self-hating but suffering from brain damage too. People with sound minds gravitate towards peace and love for oneself, and defend their own. You don't need to say you are Yoruba, your comments give you away. Owobobrown: |

Right! I know you guys are proud of your heritage, I was talking about some Yoruba who if asked by their mates to go and bring cane to be flogged with, will do it with smiles on their faces with no question asked and even pick out the biggest sticks. Owobobrown: |

Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by ycat: 3:18am On Mar 12, 2016 |
I'm female. It depends on the topic though. Introducing yourself as 'Yoruba from Kogi' in itself isn't awkward but to join the hausa/fulani in their "intake" thread to express "one north" is. I think what tpiar is talking about though are the impostors and haters who shred Yoruba by starting with "I'm Yoruba", these are many in nairaland. Owobobrown: |
