If he doesn't want to fetch water, fetch it yourself to cook your husband meals. Fetch water for your bathing ONLY. when your husband comes home, he should fetch his own water too, afterall he has a worthless brother at home, 1 Like |

I do not think your brother in law is a mind reader, if you want something done you have to ask. If you dont you wilk keep frustrsting yourself silently. 3 Likes |

utenwuson:With this your attitude imagine the extent of the rift you caused in your brothers marriage. We may not know it but teenage bros and sis in laws are often the major cause of squabbles young couples has in their marriage. When we grow up, we all acts saintly even proffering solutions to troubled marriages, oblivious of the harm we've caused out of spite to others either knowingly or unknowingly in our formative years. 3 Likes |

thelish:She has a point, sometimes we are the architects of our own problems. If she want the boy to fetch water for her or do any other chores, all she has to do is ask and not expect the boy to read her mind whilst she continues harboring ill will towards the boy. A little communication doesn't hurt does it? |

How can I be in a house, and not do anytin? In this case, d boy have been doing it until he clock 15 yrs. When dem don dey carry small small girls, na so e dey be. Useless open eye |

How many times have you instructed the boy to fetch you water? Has he ever turned down your request? Are you a perfectionist? I asked because some men and women can never be satisfied when they outsource. There is nothing you can do that will ever satisfy a perfectionist. Its either you arrange the plates wrongly, or you sweep poorly, the plate is slippery, you use too much soap, the TV is too loud, you placed the remote wrongly, etc. When I meet such people, I run! So may be the boy sees you as a perfectionist and he's trying to avoid home duties. Examine yourself ma, and speak to him. Do not expect a 17 year old boy to read your mind. He has been living with you since he was 12! Where else do you expect him to learn home training? Train the boy and stop frustrating the efforts you've never attempted. |
