adebayoolatunji:It depends... I guess ur yearly school fees and living expenses will be above 3million... If you have paid school fees then you can convince the VO with 3million. Otherwise I will advise ur sponsor to try as much as she can to top up the account to let say 5 to 6million even by borrowing. The VOs find it hard to believe that someone will deplete all his/her savings to fund ur education in Canada .. Visa authorities work with logic.. They don't know you so they access ur case base on logic.. In trying to build the account she should avoid lump sum... If you are going for September intake, you still got like 2months to fine-tune ur application... Ps- my position is not static.. I know situation do change and people has offered testimony of successful application with such amount in SOA... But am saying this base on experience.. Overall prayer is key I wish you good luck in your application.. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Nobody: 3:02pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
adebayoolatunji: To study in canada you must have a minimum of #1.46m per year apart from your Tuition fee "according to cic" and that is almost 50% of your sonsors balance, VO's are not fool to believe your sponsor can give you 50% of is account expecialy if not your parent or parent which other dependant apart from you. So i advice you find a sponsors account with more funds even if th last name is different 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by adebayoolatunji(m): 3:24pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
bjstarpex:but it is stated on their website that u must have a minimum balance of ur first year tuition fees + 10000 feeding and room plus 3000 transport fare |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Bandeco(m): 3:58pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
adebayoolatunji:U seem not to get the gist. ... Is the 3million naira ur personal fund? Is it in your personal account? Let's assume ur total study expenses is 3million naira for a year and ur sponsor decide to transfer this 3million into ur account to show some committment of sponsoring.. After transferring this said amount to ur account, her account balance will be N0. 00. If she shows a zero account balance statement of account to the VO, do you think the VO will issue you visa? Of course Not because, the VO isn't stupid to believe that someone will ground her account to zero balance just to train you in Canada.. Does it make economic sense. Just know that if you submit a sponsors account with 3million as closing balance(which is likely below ur yearly expenses), there a very high chance that you will be denied base on insufficient funds.. That 3million naira is way too small |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Nobody: 4:00pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
adebayoolatunji: A year tuition + C$10,000 which is like #1.46m on official rate |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by adebayoolatunji(m): 4:04pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
Bandeco:can I then try and tell her to increase it to 4 million naira to be on a safer side |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Nobody: 4:06pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
Bandeco: Thanks for making it clear to him, that was exactly what was insinuating no matter what your relationship is to your sponsor, he should be able to cover your expenses with.just 25-35% of his account not up to 50% and above |

I am meant to resume by May so,need to travel by April (last two weeks). I need a good flight suggestion not too high a fare, how to secure accommodation ahead of my arrival, the things I need to carry along and things not to put in my bags. What to expect at POE and how to handle different issues as they surface. Please the gurus in the house that are ahead in the journey should please guide. I appreciate in advance. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Nobody: 4:31pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
guru1234:I think @Bandeco is right with that point.. I submitted my dad's personal account and his company's account too and when I picked up my pp along with all my documents, there was traces of black biro on my dad's personal account, I think the v.o was trying to calculate the transactions on the account but the company's soa was too neat- it was as if nobody touched it.. so from my own perspective, I think submitting your sponsors personal soa is better than submitting only his company's soa, you can just use Company's soa as back up 1 Like |

BreadandBeans:bros can u please help with other sponsor supporting documents, and a copy of your sponsorship letter (sodiqksa@gmail.com) |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Nobody: 4:58pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
adebayoolatunji:the most important thing is how stable the inflow and outflow of cash is on the account- I mean how often your sponsor credits the account and withdraws from it, then if the 4million is more than your tuition and living expenses for a year, you're good to go |
