patches689: You tell lies not facts. Dafur-Sudan, Nigerian army is still there today, current number variations are unknown, some MT-LB APCs pulled out to fight Boko Haram, justified by shortage of equipment at home in a full scale war 1,000 times bigger than what was happening in Dafur. Today Nigerian army and police are both, not one, both in Dafur Sudan, deployed under UNAMID to do the hard job others are running away from. http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/missions/unamid/facts.shtml Mali war ended, Nigeria received appreciation award from new democratic president of Mali that we and our allies installed by free/fair elections. Chad and France too have withdrawn many of their troops to reduce numbers in Mali. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2013/04/201349235234509911.html Today, both Nigerian army plus Nigerian police are fully deployed in Mali as part of the new UN peace/stabilization force MINUSMA, stop telling lies against Nigeria. http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/missions/minusma/facts.shtml Also, Nigerian policemen and military experts/advisory team remains deployed in Congo DRC today. http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/missions/monusco/facts.shtml Nigeria never deployed army combat fighting units to Congo DRC, so which combat formation did we pull out since we deployed only civilian policemen and military advisers/experts team who do not engage in combat? You tell lies a lot. When you tell lies about Nigeria, your South African friends don't ask Henry to call you out. They keep quiet while you tell lies at random and they love it when it's Nigeria you are lying against . 5 Likes 1 Share

agaugust: It's not a hardware upgrade sir. Apparently a hoist attachment to help the aircraft in the SAR role NN is known to operate it in. It was discussed on Beegs blog a few years ago if I remember well |

patches689: Nope, my observations date back to images posted here for almost two years now, including those shown by andrewza. Do I need to post 100 of the old pics to ask a simple question? You have mind reading supernatural powers to see my motives? You be wizard? 4 Likes |

patches689: Big lie, all my three sources are UN peacekeeping official websites showing year 2015 updated data on deployments. You will live and end life as a shameless liar. Nigeria never deployed combat force in Congo DRC in the first place. You serial liar. 8 Likes 4 Shares |

DaV8King: Thanks bros, reason why I used quotation marks... 'hardware' upgrade. Was not sure if its new. Never seen one on any Nigerian AW 109 pic. I see it on Swedish and American AW 109, I guessed they just upgraded the hardware for enhanced SAR. Pic shows naval man with gloves holding the line, its actually a 50 metre x 200 kg WINCH, pulls men/load out of sea or lets men/load down to sea. Thinking they adjusted the NN 08 serial number E power hardware, because the under fuselage inflatable water floats are now removed from that particular chopper. Compare the very same helicopter with serial number NN 08 below...

DaV8King: ........ Very hilarious times, I remember @TIM was claiming it was a radar, despite overwhelming contrary opinion... "Omo stuck to his guns oh". Peccavi kept on and on telling him it was a hoist, but he wouldn't bulge. I remember i had a laugh filled day, that day. Who knows, he probably was actually seeing a Radar, while we were seeing a hoist. |

Henry240: The pic here clearly shows the helicopter door open and a seaman/airman with white gloves pulling a rope out of the hardware, if TIM saw a different pic he could get misled, but this one here, you cannot be pulling rope out of radar now |

agaugust: Your sources do not quote troop numbers - you could have one military observer present and that would get you mentioned!! Nigeria has withdrawn the majority of its troops from Darfur http://allafrica.com/stories/201307200117.html http://www.africareview.com/News/Nigeria-withdraws-troops-from-Darfur-peacekeeping-mission/-/979180/1921722/-/15u43v9z/-/index.html Mali War is not over - AU considering 10 000 re-enforcements with new agressive mandate! http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=42672&catid=74&Itemid=30 To bad Nigeria withdrew allready - simply because they could not handle being under Rawandan command http://allafrica.com/stories/201307191062.html Nigeria had troops in congo in the 1960's, but did not love africa enough to keep them there Yet again, we see I have told no lies

Since certain forum members are questioning the effective range of arty at long range let me give out a free class. - C.E.P is 0.1% of range in azimuth, 0.48% of range in range for the Gv6 - So at max range of 52km with VLAP from the GV6, that means the shells will land in a "box" that is 100m wide by 250m long. - The "kill radius" for a 155mm round is 200m2 - Now, if you have a battery of 12 guns firing into that box, which is 2500m2, you will get 12 rounds landing in that box, covering a cumulative area of 2400m2 - per salvo - That means you get 96% coverage of the target area... per salvo - Now, remember that we are talking about 4 rounds per min per gun, or a total of 48 shells landing every 60 sec. - Thats a cumulative coverage of 9600m2, falling into a box the size of 2500m2 equating to a coverage of 384%, per minute - Yes - with the GV6 you can achieve 384% coverage of your target area, per minute, at max range - Assuming you maintain this rate of fire for just 5min, that means you would have fired enough shells to cover an area of 48000m2 which equates to 1920% coverage of your 2500m2 target area. You're welcome. 2 Likes

The Secretive Okapi In mid-2001 it was stated that the South African Army had taken delivery of nine mobile electronic warfare systems as part of an extensive upgrade of its electronic warfare capability. Tough as nails According to the manufacturer, two Russian TM-57 anti-tank landmines can be placed anywhere under the hull or three TM-57 anti-tank landmines can be placed under any wheel without any injury to the occupants.
