Lord have mercy. I think mercy death would've been advisable but thank God they died themselves. So painful though but God knows best, RIP to the dead |

it'd have taken miracle for them to have survived even if they were taken to the best burn centre in the world because the degree of the burn was too extensive almost 100%. May their souls RIP |

idupaul: Do you know Kechi Okwuchi? The plane crash survivor. She was in coma for a month after 3rd degree burns in over 90percent of her body. If she could survive, these guys also could. Stop saying what you dont know about medical conditions. Nigeria's health system is on the edge of a precipice! 11 Likes |

Their chances of survival were very slim. That's a major burn they had. Their skins were burnt beyond flesh and even if they survived, they would never live a normal life |

Afritop: I'm sorry but this doesn't make sense. What happened, happened. And if you watch the video, they were being helped by a lot of people. You cannot touch someone with this level of burns. If the didn't die from the fire, they would have died from severe infections. In every aspect, GOD is Merciful. If they had survived, it would have been thru HIS Mercy. And as they have died, it is as a result of HIS Mercy. 8 Likes |

Such a sad way to die, unfortunately they were victims of failed government who couldn't regulate the transportation of petroleum products and provide adequate facility for traumatized accident victims. The life expectancy of Nigerian men was supposed to be 55 years but events like this make you realize the expectancy could actually be 35 years while civilized countries have life expectancy of 85 years. 1 Like |

Elchappo: Even if our doctors here are magicians.,they wouldnt have performed any form of magic in this case.,going by the degree of the burnt. Only a miracle from above would have kept them alive..unfortunately the miracle never came.. RIP....farewell |

Health service system needs reform. Fluid replacement and Sepsis control could have saved them if they had gotten prompt medical attention. No emergency service functioning for RTA victims. Not even an ambulance. Shame. Probably Kidney shut down from fluid loss and super imposed infection on large burnt surface area. No excuse even if it is 3rd degree burns as people put it. Which is not. So sad to know. 3 Likes |

idupaul: Dead Wrong! The Body succumbs to injuries when it can no longer take the level of pain it is being subjected to. *With prompt attention, they would first be sedated and put on morphine injection (strong pain killer). *When they are put in that state of coma, it is easy to just "manage the burns" over a couple of weeks. *Food will be given by intravenous methods. *Sore will gradually heal-up under specially designed gauzed bandage that produce body protein to allow skin-burns close-up *Skin will eventually regrow but they will certainly survive. Its the PAIN that killed them, not the BURNS. Lastpage! 10 Likes 2 Shares |
