As a girl living with over protective or strict parents/guardian, how do you cope or escape being caged, monitored or restricted. Especially if you are staying with an aunt or uncle who doesnt want you to be going out frequently or seen with guys. Always telling you when to go out and when not to go out (your movement is monitored or restricted). There are girls in such situation. And as a result, it has made some girls develop tricks and a lying habit, just to be able to go out freely or meet with her guy. Some are only free to mingle freely when they gain admission or are in school. And not been exposed to such freedom before, could end up making such girls irresponsible or over exposed later, when caution is not applied. Though in the long run, such restrictions do have some advantages (on the life of the girl) when its properly handled. As a girl in such situation, how do you cope?

too much restriction is not safe for her,let her bend or break the rules once in a while at least that is what rules are meant for.Most importantly raise her up with high moral standards so that when she grows older she will not forget the parental teaching but the moment you cage her contineously she will only grow to be a rule breaker and as we all know the spirit of rebellion in this indomie generation is overwhelming.

My parents even beg me to leave the house
The don't believe in "caging" their children
My dad especially believes that interacting with others make up for a well rounded life
Like, they tell me, it's not all about being intelligent. You also need to have a social life
My dad thinks it's a sign of anti-social behaviour and timidity to be always holed up in the house
And me, I'd rather curl up in bed with a book than to actually go out
