chigoizie7: I can remember doing obi days, the streetlight in hinterlands, Ifite rd, government house, authur eze avenue are not functioning obiano made it work again. Obi didn't built any mall in Awka, obiano is doing that. There were no smart police cars and surveillance helicopter in awka , obiano provided that. There were no marked roads and traffic signs with traffic lights in Awka, obiano provided that. There were no smart bus stops in awka , Obaino provided that. Awka was like haven to criminality, obiano provided tight security around Awka and environs. There was no initiatives for greenwood city in Awka, obiano provided that. There were no much estate in Awka, Obaino is still providing more. Obiano has bought in more investors in Awka than past administration's 8years. Though I commend obi But obiano has surpassed him already. 2 Likes |

Though am a big fan of Obaino, but are you trying to tell me that those houses in the pics weren't there before he came to power 2 years ago? The only difference I saw in those pics was a demolition taking place at that roundabout. |

mandax: Orlu is at per with Awka after 25 years of Awka as capital. That is very disappointing IMHO Based on the pictures provided here Awka is exactly like Orlu in everything but the two useless flyovers without traffic. To the noisemakers it is time to prove your noise. Awka has to be the most backward State Capital in the Southeast. |

FKO81: Abagworo works in Imo govt House. His duty is to spread propaganda of falsehood. They think that Igbo people are fools. very soon he will show us one road dualized by Okorocha after which he started to tell the public that Orlu is now a city like state capital. As if people are fools. If Abagworo had not come into this thread to spread his lies about Orlu... 1 Like |

chigoizie7:what do you even know about Awka? The same Awka that was just dusty for 8 years under Peter obi? And are you aware that obiano will be marking just 2 years in office this week and yet he has put all these things in place? And stop telling us under construction, we can only acknowledge completed projects. 8 years was enough for peter obi to start and complete anything. The fact is Awka has witnessed massive changes under obiano and the credit goes to obiano 100 percent |

I know how bad and frustrated you are tonight but it can't change anything. Owerri of over 40yrs has just been made to look like a village by Awka 's supersonic advancement. Nnewi is more developed and relevant than Owerri the imo state capital. I know it's painful. This is how we roll, let the heartbreaking continue. [s] Abagworo:[/s]

EasternActivist:truth is dt nothing tangible is happening in awka or any part of anambra.apart from the two fly=overs, one at aroma and the one close to it, nothing more.I am apolitical. Hwever truth is that Obi did a lot but obiano is yet to make a significant impact. Those pictures of streets put up there are a ruse. Show and label pictures of actual work going on with dates.stop propaganda and lies. |

AtlanticBreeze: This is not what I asked u to do. Just give me one apart from d express. Least I forget, governors don't go about doing individuals projects (private) for them. Don't get me wrong, obiano is doing great, I am just particular about d way OP painted it all. From all the pictures up there, the only new thing done by obiano is that flyover, nothing else. 1 Like |

[s] prophetfire:[/s] What else do a passerby wants to see again... You are opportuned to pass through your yeye locality to abakiliki after pleading with the driver to take Onitsha- Enugu express way. What other things do you think that you will see apart from enjoying the massive flyovers and good road in Awka express. When you are ready to visit Awka, call me and I will show you around what obiano has done and is still doing to uplift the capital city. 1 Like 1 Share |

AtlanticBreeze:Bia enyia. What's wrong with you? Who says I'm nt happy with the development. I'm from anambra schooled there and stayed there for years. So if the state improves, Its to my benefit & bragging right. However, what the op wrote there doesn't correlate with the pictures he posted. That's bad Journalism! He should have posted the places where the construction are kicking off not already developed estates and buildings! |

In any thread for any other Igbo State or city they come around with fake bad pictures to run it down but right now there is nothing other than 2 flyovers to show. EasternActivist: I also commend obiano too. So, after spending billions of state fund to construct roads, and den another person now spends little amount ( just a little percentage of the money spent in building roads) to mark them, but traffic lights, put road signs, it now means the later outshine the former? If obi has been like mabdinuju, that has not been doing roads and all that around anambra as a whole, investors wouldn't have seen anything to entice them. Obiano, started his awka mall, d same way obi initiated the onitsha mall. Which estate in awka that obiano initiated, that is bigger than the ones in Govt house, face3 estate(back of unizik, by Agu awak if u follow express), the commissioner quaters, Govt house itself, iyiagu, ngozika, udoka, and some other estates behind ngozika and iyiagu. Also the ones towards abakaliki streets. Which estates is bigger than those I mentioned in awka that obiano initiated Peter obi is an all rounder. Please let us stop all these arguments. Obiano is good. Certainly not d way u are painting it. As for police smart cars, if anambra had been like d days of mabdinuju, those police cars will be of no use, because it can not run on those roads. Whatever obiano is doing now is based on what obi has laid as a foundation. U cannot put road signs, street lights, trafic lights, marked roads on a none existing roads. 3 Likes |

The issue is that I know you are in pains already Imo state people are now seeking for visa to visit the Nigerian Dubai. Yes the flyovers has made Owerri look like a rural area. Fact! Imo state does not have a single flyover to start with! LOL [s] Abagworo:[/s]

ETHIX:I was tempted to quote u, onitsha-awka is a federal road don't mention that road. Imo is a big Bush governed by a media governor. Have u been to egbema or oguta in imo state? Visit there and you will want to flog Rochas. I schooled in Futo and umuchima-ihiagwa has no access road. Awka's problem is they construct roads and don't make proper provision for pedestrians, then there are no malls their greatest supermarket is at arroma, forgotten the name of that popular super market. Awka is a frustating town though, very boring. 1 Like |
