Hello HayqinsbFX, Arcayo, einsteino, ‎and the house,

I'm in the process of getting admission and I just received the message below from my school although I am yet to respond.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies has received our recommendation and have indicated that they require a bank statement that provides proof self of funding for one year’s tuitions and related fees and cost of living which is $27,303 Cdn. This may be provided electronically. So we can complete the processing of your application could you provide proof of funding at your earliest convenience.

How do I tackle this?

Is it okay to ask my sponsor to lodge money in my account in this case, or I get my sponsor's SOA with an accompanying letter?

And does time frame of the SOA really matter here?

EDIT: There was a commitment letter by my sponsor in my application for admission.

Please, your kind suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think your sponsors statement would do the magic. He/she already committed him/herself through a letter. Therefore, They will expect bank statement from your sponsor and not you. Lodging isn't advisable I think. Not sure. Let the gurus shed more light.

Oga There's nothing wrong with the offer letter being included... I've read this thread for a while and see how peeps respond like they are visa officers themselves, the fact is there isn't any consistency in the canadian visa issuing process... what works for Mr. A may not work for Mr B... Its like a lottery. I can't imagine submitting all these documentation and still get a visa refusal. Then peeps come here to make excuses for the inconsistent Visa officers., everyone has a right to change career paths whenever u so choose. But in Canada its a red flag., that's bullocks i say.
If you really have money and wanna study pls go else where. Try newzealand or anywhere in Australia/Asia (China or Hong Kong) that is if u have money ooooo!!!

Thought we have leave people like you to former threads. Confusionist.

Yes I do, and I will consider putting mine. I'm thinking of including an affidavit for my sponsor to boot.

Please go elsewhere... Dont waste your time and money with this canada thingy. If you really have money and wanna spend it on education and come back to your husband and child without wanting a post graduate work permit. I say go to the UK or Australia. With all these documents you have listed (if that is your true situation and they are genuine) you should get a Visa in an instant. No let this canada ppl drive you crazy ooo !!!

True talk, because even though they are all visa officers. Their judgements can't be uniform all the time because they are different individuals in their own right with their own way of thinking. There is no application that is perfect. And just like u pointed out, Canada is not the only country around. I am no prophet of doom but a time is coming when Canada may no longer be an attractive place for most foreign students(esp from Nigeria) again just like the way the UK has become.

I stand to be corrected though... wink

Do you have or your sponsor if you are using one have a good SOA, which is is only thing I think can delay your application, all other documents are easy,
Are you going through online or paper route?
Are you doing upfront medical or a to wait for CIC call?
It depends on your choice bro

Both of fine
Paper route less expensive, more documents, can only be track on VFS site
Online expensive because of dollar, can be track on your CIC profile, less documents, you can go with online if you have easy access scanner, your own laptop wit Internet.
It's your choice, you will get results within CIC estimated time with both options

Good day all, pls. I applied for post graduate bsn nursing at the university of Saskatchewan, but I was told I needed to do some prerequisites before I can be offered post graduate nursing, so I applied for the prerequisites and I was offered admission for Sept fall. When I got the admission letter it stated that I have been offered a 4yrs course in art and sciences in which I called them to ask why 4 years since the prerequisites will be offered in a term and the post graduate bsn nursing is just 2yrs. I was told the 4yrs is better to be on a safer. Pls I need advice on how to go about my application in oder not to be rejected since my first degree is in public administration and my first job was as a customer service in a hotel and my last job was as a flight attendant with an international airline outside nig( note as a flight attendant I have been intensively trained to handle first aid and delivery on board.) I resigned as a first class business crew and I have visited slot of countries. I resigned last yr and am on maternity presently in Nigeria . Thanks.
I sent you a pm. Kindly reply.

I did mine for either 4k or 5k at Alagbon. Go with your international passport, photocopy of your data page and a passport photograph.

Is it mandatory to go with my international passport ? ...I currently don't have mine with me at the moment
