There was a scandal a couple of years ago but if she can forgive him I won't hold it against him either. They fell in love long before SRK was famous. You are right there is so much nepotism in Bollywood almost all of them are related and its very difficult to enter it as an outsider. That's why I have a lot of respect for SRK and Akshay Kumar who were able to get in and make the right connections to become as big as they are today.
