Licence of any Power distributors who is not serving Nigerians enough should be withdrawn. They are nothing but saboteurs. Someone should pls inform Ondo State government that there has been no light in Odigbo LGA, Okitipupa LGA, Ese-odo LGA and Irele LGA for the past two years. Some people were complaining about 4days blackout but here in Ondo state, there is total black out for good two years with no possibility of hope coming our way. 42 Likes 4 Shares |

A former top executive in one of the power firms explained to our correspondent that a distribution company could decide to reject load due to low revenue generation from a segment of its customer base. The General Secretary, National Union of Electricity Employees, Mr. Joe Ajaero, had claimed in a statement on Monday that the real saboteurs of the power sector were those who refused allocations from the national grid for onward distribution to consumers. the real saboteur of power will soon reveal themselves events and happening will unmask their faces........ these saboteur lives among us and they aren't from space be it government, private investors and powerful clique. 21 Likes |

Hmm, but we are forced to pay for what was not given to us, they should also be made to pay whether they sell or not, with that they would be forced to fix whatever fails in the network. 3 Likes |

The government should have broken down the transmission network and sold it to the Gencos. Tribalism and federal xter will not let them unbundle the national grid 9 Likes |

The capacity to generate is different from the actual power generated. The handover document to APC by GEJ's administration contains a paragraph stipulating that we have the capacity to generate 12000Mw already but the gas infrastructure and transmission networks are still inadequate hence the new government should work on them as to deliver the output to the final consumers. 6 Likes |

? The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Mr. Oladele Amoda, told our correspondent in a telephone interview that load rejection could be as a result of capacity issues between the transmission and distribution networks. I remember reading an article in the Nigerian Guardian shortly after the DISCOS took over....and they said that they were handed over one big wretched obsolete mess called Nigeria's electricity transmission system,,,,,,,I knew that the problem was serious. One of the DISCOS's management staff even expressed surprise how the transmission system was able to work despite being so wretched. 2 Likes |
