When Yorubas started the trouble they could not finish in 1993 using 'June 12' with their Odua Islamic Republic of Ritual-killers and were expecting Igbos to fight their wars; Ralph Obioha and Bobo Nwosisi were the only people around their AareOnaKakanfo MKO Abiola when he declared himself president-elect. The Yoruba tribe couldn't even protect him from being whisked away like a common thief. He was eventually slaughtered like a salah ram. A number of prominent Igbos in NADECO fought along the Yorubas against the despotic Abacha regime. Yorubas have remained ungrateful for the good deeds the Igbo Nation have rendered them. Igbos can't afford to go into an evil alliance with wicked ingrates. Remember the paper by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the current Emir of Kano, a Fulani, where he revealed some truths about your people: "YORUBAS ARE THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA"? http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/yorubas-are-the-problem-with-nigeria-by-sanusi-lamido-sanusi-elombah-com.111348/ In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude. The Yoruba elite were the first, in 1962, to attempt a violent overthrow of an elected government in this country. In 1966, it was the violence in the West which provided an avenue for the putsch of 15th January. After Chief Awolowo lost to Shagari in 1983 elections, it was the discontent and bad publicity in the South-West which led to the Buhari intervention... 2 Likes |

Hagmond: The highest political office in Nigeria then was that of the Governor General, they were selected from England and sent to Nigeria. The british deemed it fit to give that exalted office to Nnamdi Azikiwe but because of the loyalty displayed by the northerners and to make them happy, they made a northerner prime minister. The truth is that the prime minister though had the political powers could not be said to be superior to the Governor General who was Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nigeria's first president. 2 Likes |

omoharry:The bitterness is deep in certain cases. The Germans reconciled with the rest of Western Europe after the second World War.We cannot give up hope.We can discuss our differences.and then try to find a common ground.Hate mongers will always propagate their Agenda but the truth remains that the hope of the black race is basically hinged on the prospect that the more progressive people's of the South with other compatriots can unleash so powerful positive energy to launch our nation into unimaginable development. I feel your frustration too but lets jaw jaw and one day sit together as brothers. The minorities in Nigeria appear to be the ones keeping Nigeria together.May God help us. 2 Likes |

Hagmond:u didnt address the issues i raised. One thing about you guys is that you hate truth with passion. Most time you brand truth as 'hate message' did awolowo start ethnic politics in Nigeria or not? Was he not popular among the yorubas for that or not? Aligning is not the issue but should not be driven by hate and unnecessary jealousy and wickedness. Awolowos jealousy and ethnicity destryed southern solidarity and made north to gain power. That was how zik became a ceremonial president. Zik was a one nigerianist and prooved it throughout his life but awolowo who always adviced zik to stop aligning with north, moved back and dinned with them during the war. He was a back stabber, a hater without ideology. A man who adressed nigeria as a mere geographical expression but yearn to govern her the most Hagmond:a yoruba general who was caught up in cross fire during ironsi death does not translate to 'we'. Awolowo was a yoruba leader. They call him 'sage' and his opinion represented theirs
Hagmond:that was the flimsy reason you people gave for backing the same north he claimed to hate. Lagos though yorubaland was the then capital of nigeria and wartime command hqtrs need i say more?
Hagmond:which nonsense save nigeria group? A group that couldnt save west was saving nigeria. The person who caused power shift was dora akunyili through bravery and comment. Most yorubas voted buhari because of igbo hate 2 Likes |

Hagmond: What is all this talk about hating Yorubas? Not all Igbos "hate" Yorubas as you think. My annoyance is that Yorubas seem to be more bothered about us Igbos who will only talk and talk but will not rise up and attack you in your homes than the hausas who will not bother to talk but go about killing and destroying in another man's land several kilometers from the north. Who is your enemy here please? The one that will quarrel with you and shout and leave you to sleep in peace or the one that will not talk, appear to "respect" their host but rise up and attack their hosts in their own land, burn their shops/cars/chuches, drive them away from their homes for days, kill them and roast them on the road on their own soil 1 Like |

Ncnc won most votes in eastern region but became opposition in the west, although ncnc could have won but they could not persuaded the other minor parties in the west to vote for it,those parties voted for ag. if azikwe was truly nationalistic why did he chase out the premier in eastern nigeria ironsi spent the night in ibadan colonel fajuyi refused to danjuma kill ironsi lest they kill him wish they did.so fajuyi died in cross fire abi he was called a sage because of his great developmental strides, first tv first uni, cocoa house so because ojukwu wanted to show the world in warring skill have to go through ondo ogun and its people wont be affected,o kuse.
