Step One is complete. I applied to just 2 programs and i just received an admission letter from one of them. an Erasmus program of 6 Universities, which includes the Universities of Kassel and Fulda in Germany. My first semester is likely to be in one of Romania, Belgium or Germany. And 2nd semester is definitely in Germany. My questions are, 1. I am yet to serve. I graduated Sept 2015 and due to administrative mistakes from my school, i won't even be going with this Batch A. Will not doing NYSC affect my visa chances? 2. My 3rd semester is in France but 4th is an internship in one of France and Belgium. Can i get a chance to stay and work in any of the two countries after just six months? Please i need answers. |

Whaow...it's been months since I was here. So much work...Hamburg is cool though. @Blessedsamson....ezekuse has just given you the best answer. You need to have enough funds before coming here. It is not advisable to get a loan because jobs are not so easy to get here if you cannot speak German fluently. Even the mini jobs are not many for English speakers. Hmmmmmmm...eyes have seen here. Not easy to survive. So just chill, plan well, source for funds and come in October. School resumes in April. Best of luck to you and others. ezekuse: |

@ Royal purple. Thanks so much. I have actually settled the money issue. As regards the appeal, from the post in was told to read, I discovered I would need to forward an appeal letter extensively explaining why the visa should be granted. I also discovered I will be mail backed in 3 to 5 days as regards the outcome of the appeal letter. but now what I don't understand is. How am I to send the letter, is it by email,by hand or by post? |

Hello bro, pls I need your help abt my processing, my nigeria cgpa is 2.55 and I ve tried to apply to 3 schools. But their response was that I didn't meet d cut off. Please how can you help Cox I'm planning to reapply again for the next semester. Do you knw any school or know how i can go about it to secure an admission with this grade. Thanks Bro (Nmax - Nattained/Nmax - Nlowest) x 3 +1 Nmax=highest possilble grade Nattained= grade attained Nlowest= lowest pass grade. Since you have 2.91/4.0 While Assuming your Institution's lowest grading point is 1. The calculation goes thus: (4 - 2.91/4-1)*3+1 2.09 Which means you can apply for an Msc course in germany, bearing in mind that the required CGPA for admission is 2.5 below.. Remember, your letter of motivation, ielts, work experience (if available) also plays a great part. Hope it helps ! [/quote] |

BlessedSamson: Have you confirm your enrollment deadline date? You need to know your enrollment deadline date in case it is closer than you think. If it is, send a mail to your school if they can extend or defer it to winter semester without applying again. If all these things are in negative, there is no point stressing yourself on this appeal. |

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ichommy(m): 3:10pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
edibam: 1. If you stay in Lagos, go to the HEAD OFFICE of NIPOST at the ARRIVAL LOUNGE of the MURITALA MUHAMMED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MMA), use the registered mail and tip them to encourage their good work. You know what I mean. It costs between N500-1500 officially. That is the fastest you could ever get of any NIPOST OFFICE in Nigeria of a post leaving our shores (I could be wrong). Although from experience unregistered mails are always faster may be because record keeping and updating online for tracking is not involved and it costs not more than N300 per address/file. Whichever way, I'm positive that your mail will arrive maximum of 7-10 working days if you use that channel. 2. EMS speedpost from NIPOST, takes a maximum 5 working days, no stories! It costs 8k per address or file. 1 Like |

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ogagaejay: 5:39pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
adeyegus: The minimum required grade for most master programs here in Germany is 2.50. Your 2.55 in the Nigerian system is not equivalent to this minimum graded. My advice, try applying for Bachelor programmes with your bachelor. 1 Like |
