well, nicely thought of by you.

but we have got to realize that these people think in a different way.

It is stated boldly on cic website that any financial commitment is made at the risk of the applicant, this is because they dont need it to make a decision on your app....

vickyehi:

personally I feel if I am a vo and a person says he wants to genuinely study abroad but didn't pay the fees required to do so as stipulated by his proposed institution.....It invariably means that his purpose of travelling isn't genuine as there was no proof of payment before me even till the expiration date.

what program are you going for...

It seems this is the reason they're giving everyone. Same reason I got and same thing one of the VAC guys told me. He said about 80% were denied and mostly those reasons

I noticed a slight difference when tracking my application today. It says my application is been processed at the Canada Visa Office. I applied via online route and this is the 12th week of processing. Please can someone help to cross-check this. Its no longer Canada Visa Office, Lagos.

That's normal message for online application, you don't need to track ur Application on VAC /VFS site if you apply online unless you've gotten passport request and have submitted, for now track through your CIC profile

Hello adeyemidare, Arcayo and the house,

Hope you're all cool. My sponsor is someone that's barely around. I'm thinking of getting the docs I need from him while he's around.

Do you think it's a bad idea to get 1. SOA and 2. payslips even if I'm gonna be using it next month?

PS. He runs an Insurance Company
‎And these are the other  docs I intend getting from him‎
3. Passport Data Page
4. CAC docs, Tax clearance certificate ‎
5. Sponsorship letter, affidavit of Sponsorship, sponsorship declaration

Will these suffice from my sponsor's end?
NB. I'm not sure I can prove my relationship with him, he's my paternal cousin (different surname). We share the same great grandparents. ‎

Awaiting your kind advice guys.
Thank you ‎

It is not compulsory. Just go with a photocopy of your passport bio page and passport photographs.

I would also wish to know if all my supporting documents has to be original like landed properties.
And do I need to submit birth certificate of each family member even though they are not requiring visa?
Got that

I already have a sibling in Canada who is a resident and a student. Hope that won't count against me?

The rate of denial these days is alarming and frightening. What's is wrong CIC? I wonder how many people here has given testimony of visa approval this year.

Let the testimony begin to flow in Jesus name.

About your sponsor...

How about Affidavit of sponsorship?

Docs to show how he gets his income (his company registration docs if he owns a coy OR payslip, employment letter if he's employed)

Assets docs if any

Means of identification

Cc: TheDreamChaser

My Uncle is retired and he is on a pension plan from where he retired from. He has a company which I don't think is registered. I will add sponsors data page of international passport to the documents I want to submit then. Regarding affidavit of sponsorship, I think the declaration of sponsorship should be enough. Leaning towards online route or is paper route better?

I just felt you were opting for paper route cos in the past people barely used police clearance certificate online. Don't know if this is still valid. Cc: Arcayo

Going online is deemed more expensive ad you have to pay via a debit card. It's your preference in the end.

i think people just have to be smart and take advice that applies to them. Your advice above applies to me cos I got a letter of admission from brandon university and it was an unconditional letter. However those with addmission from some schools that require a financial commitment is regarded as a conditional letter of admission. The cic clearly states that if an offer is conditional the applicant MUST proof that he/she has met the conditions of that offer. This is the case of our guy that was denied, he didn't show he has met the condition of the offer by not showing the proof of payment to show commitment as requested by his institution.
pls not that the key word here is when the PAYMENT IS REQUESTED BY THE INSTITUTION.
I advice the person involved reads other pages and seive out info as applicable to him......However correct understanding of what you are reading is paramount.
best wishes and GOOD MORNING.....

Online is expensive but for me convenient, after filling the CIC forms laptop you can submit on your phone but to avoid mistakes and spending you go for paper route easy for you to read over and over

You are right that was the same thing I was talking about nobody is saying someone should pay school fee but acceptance fee which which still count towards tuition fee, well everybody have right to his/her own opinion.
If you think you need to pay your acceptance fee b4 your application please do and you can still do otherwise. Peace

To the best of my knowledge I guess two or three.. I just don't know the criteria they use to issue trv to applicants. If u like get 50m for account dem no send o
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by hayqinsbFX: 7:59am On Mar 17, 2016
I understand where you are coming from.....and logically anyone would say if you do not pay how will you show you're serious.....but these people have seen that that is no way a criteria for filtering genuine students from the ones that are not..........
But I can tell you that CIC says you must show proof that he/she CAN meet the condition not HAS met the condition.....
In this case you have to show sponsors capability to pay for the tuition (which is a visa application requirement anyways)
Besides if youre applying for your visa before the stipulated deadline made by the school to make payment there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I have seen people got visa with admission letters that have the stipulated deadline of payment passed and got their visa, which has further convinced me that CIC doesnt really care about any financial commitment you have made in your visa application.

Maybe we should start comparing documents of people that are denied...to know the rationale behind it..or maybe they have reduced their quota, cuz I heard there's a change of govt over there.. Fingers crossed!
