A pharmacist, Godwin Okonufia, who was part of the NAFDAC enforcement team, pointed out that the consumption of counterfeit drinks could cause kidney problems. He, therefore, urged consumers to buy processed drinks from reputable authorized sales outlets....

This is a result of too many "Learn to make household this, and daily need that" ebooks and seminars going on which is ultimately born out of unemployment and harsh economy.

Out of desperation, folks are turning their backyards into factories and are producing every single daily need commodity without the approval of the authorities.

The present state of Nigerian economy and lack of jobs is turning every Tom, Dick and Harry into an entrepreneur. God help us all.

The ebooks, seminars, do it yourself workshops, entrepreneurial skill acquisition and so on is likely to flood our markets with both substandard and fake products.

Have they arrested the perpetrators? If not why?

Thats why I patronize only quality supermarkets and wine shops if I want to buy original wine. Surprisingly, Many of the buyers of these products know that what they are buying is fake but cheaper and some just want to feel like Hennessy and Champagne consumers in front of their guests.
