farem: The only important to note here is that the office of the president of Nigeria hasn't improved the lives of those who have held it. Every president since 1966 to date has been a disaster. Not one of them is anything to write home about. In a way, I'm actually happy that Igbos have not produced an executive president of Nigeria apart from the 6 months of Ironsi. At least, history will say that the part Igbos played in messing up Nigeria compared to others was the smallest. I pray that an Igbo man or woman never becomes the president of Nigeria for two reasons. The first is that whoever it is will end up a faliure just like all others in the past because Nigeria is simply unworkable. The second reason is that I want my fellow Igbos to aim for something more important than the president of Nigeria |

I see only two possible contenders in this list, peter obi and charles soludo...they are the only critical and strategic thinkers on the list. |

putting up number 1 (Rochas) is an insult to Ndo Igbo. Using that picture was particularly more disgraceful. I see only Chidioka and Obi.. 1 Like |

MonPro:See political frustration oh. Its certain Igbo won't become Nigeria president with their arrogance and poor manners as no Hausa will trust an Igbo man for presidency due to lack in ability to play the nation politics according to the rules. 2 Likes |

janellemonae: I think I will agree with you on the bolded. The feud/rivalry between Igbos and Yorubas started when Yorubas aligned with the North under Apc to remove GEJ. So the south east and south south felt that the Yorubas have sabotaged the south by aligning with the north to remove their fellow southerner. |

garfield16: see them, whose votes do you need then, the northerners that will vote north over any other person. Well it's good that you are now making peace with the fact that for the next 200 years hausa/fulani will be seating on your destiny. You are now the scoundrels in the south. The SE/SS doesn't will never trust yorubas. God help you! |
Re: 7 Igbos Who Could Be President Come 2019 by Nobody: 12:44pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
medpren: you see your self? Everything na turn by turn, we've had yoruba presidency and currently a yoruba vice, na only we dey there? so we don't expect it to be our turn for quite a while, when it's our turn the north will vote for us because we have shown their interests are safe under us and vice versa. When Yoruba was president hausa interests were protected. Now Hausa is in power, who are the most powerful people in govt if not yoruba? The problem with Ibo is it will never be your turn because no one trusts that their interests will be safe under Ibo! When the presidency returns to the south in 2023 or 2031, it will either be SS (most likely Edo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers or Cross River) or SW and the Ibo vote will make no difference to the outcome. Continue wailing, continue hating, continue excluding yourselves. 1 Like |

garfield16: LWKMD! Do you know how much the north hated OBJ in his second term when he became uncontrollable and grew wings, even asking for a third term? You be pikin. The north will NEVER vote a non-northerner ever. They are power-mongers and now know they can rule till nigeria breaks, monkey no dey dash banana. You yorubas started "i will never vote an Igbo campaign". We have now started "NO MORE YORUBA PRESIDENCY, SAY NO TO TREACHERY" campaign. Game On! |
Re: 7 Igbos Who Could Be President Come 2019 by Nobody: 12:51pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
medpren: I'm telling you as it is, there is nothing you can do about it, read my lips "there is no vacancy at Aso Rock for Ibo for the next 50 years at a minimum" Worry about Ibo not Yoruba, we dont have problem with the North, weve learnt how to work with each other. Ibos should learn how to work with others, show respect for others, stop being so tribal in your thinking and maybe your lot will change politically. The Ibo vote is the most irrelevant vote in the Nigerian political equation. and by the way I didnt start any campaign, you Ibos shot yourselves in the foot by preaching hatred and by doing that you lost the votes of the very people you need to secure an Ibo presidency. You are the ones campaigning against yourselves. This is why I say Ibos are a very myopic group of people. It really boggles the mind how dull you people can be, elections are a numbers game and you would have thought that people noted for commerce can do basic maths. You don't have the numbers so you need an ally, The North has deep seated issues with the Ibos, if there is one thing that is a given in Nigeria, you will never get the Northern votes, which leaves the south west and then you go around insulting us and have the effrontery to talk about a 2019 Ibo presidency? Do you people not think? You may not like what I am saying to you but Ibos are unelectable and no self respecting National party will ever field an Ibo candidate as a presidential candidate, it's electoral suicide! It's the reason why you have APGA, because that's the only way an Ibo man can be on the presidential ticket and needless to say, even in South East, APGA will lose elections. |

kingzizzy: If I am not mistaken, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is the best supported IGBO LEADER by the igbos themselves. I can fathom this sguiyi ironsi fallacy. Igbos loudly claimed that the south - South and South - East is one and the same GREATER EAST. power has shifted to another zone, now I think the middle belt should be ready to rule. Yorubas and greater East have got their slots both military and civilian govt |

tobiasbeecher: and people like you are better managed in the lagoon where you belong. abeg sod off. "embers of hate and violence indeed".werey. when you guys were busy screaming and shouting and crying biafuru, embarking on a "million man match", agitating for biafuru, all because your clueless role model lost an election, we warned you guys to take it easy, that there are better ways to go about this than threatening violence and alienating other Nigerians who didn't share the same ethnic background as you. you called us cowards and you said we were afraid because Nigeria wouldn't succeed without u guys. now we are telling you the bitter truth. no other ethnic group in Nigeria will trust the igbo man with the presidency. you are calling me a bigot. left to me I would have given u guys your wish a long time ago... so you can self-destruct. but I still believe that majority of Igbos are more sensible than this anyway. 1 Like |

NgwaManNaija4LF: the only heat I'm feeling right now is the hot air coming from your empty boasts. I understand the need for you to maintain the title of "internet warrior". I also recognize the need to compare yourself to "us", it shows who the master is, doesn't it? you don't see the USA comparing itself in terms of development to Afghanistan, do you? it's always the lower ones that try to measure up by comparing themselves to others. 1 Like |
