1. Make sure it is a farm and not some sort of business premises
2. Don't tell him you will be coming
3. When you get there even if it's a farm,ask to see the Manager and use style to ask the people around questions (those that came to pick eggs)
4. If nobody is there for the same purpose as you,dust your shoes

If you are in Lagos and may need eggs tomorrow keep in touch.
If there is excess in the farm, I can let you know to come and pick some crates.

Last week there was excess of about 200 crates, may be the same may turn up tomorrow.

DISTRIBUTORS BEWARE!

One of my clients made an awful purchase last week.
Some Ibadan dealers visited her at her outlet and offered a mouth watering rates to her and she bought whole heartedly. When I went to deliver her weekly ration her shop was full with eggs more than I normally give her.

This morning, she called to tell me that after two days about 40 crates got rotten.
She bought unsold volume of eggs.

This will be regular these days.
Be careful of whom you make your purchases from.

My brother, these are trying times.
My profit margin has been reduced drastically.
Everything is hanging on the dollar exchange rate.

The farms have increased their offer rates so much while the retailers are not willing to accent to changes in price.
Before 2016, I make at least N130 profit per crate. Now it hovers between N40 and N85

You know the farms do not have uniform rates, so for some its N40 while for some its N85
However, I have more clients to serve than before. I did double my client base and its been wonderful.
Many distributors in my area are no more consistent, so I acquired many of them. The funny thing is that I have more clients that I cannot serve while I cannot deal with any farm that comes from nowhere.

Buying bulk eggs from farm that you can see does not have the capacity to produce such in few days is a recipe for rotten eggs. Always look at the farm capacity against the number of crate offer for sale.
