what first bank is doing is money gram. they some issues with their western union. ask them very well.

First bank does both, but each branch has an allocation to do just 190k in a day for western union but moneygram is 199k(Except for 2 or 3 branches in Nigeria that has allocation to do 380k-benin King Square branch follow)

I read a lot of argument about WU exchange rate here, the truth is , the exchange rate is just about 205 but the extra charges gets it to about 224/NGN.

what i think FBN does with WU is that they use the WU inflow to finance a fraction of the WU outbound, they also need USD for there day-to-day running of the FX business and owing to the fact that they are the biggest WU agent in Nigeria, they make a lot of money from these.

in this Dollar Naira war, the banks are the winners, if you see how much is made , you will swear for them([i]i don't blame them, they are there to make money, though thunder fit fire person as dem no get pity dey comot monthly maintenance from my account).

I am not really confused, check my post, you will see i am very well informed .

In the past 2 weeks, i have done 6 times from different branches for transfers raging from 194USD to 921USD

I even did 40,000NGN on Tuesday before i left for work.

Nice move my dear... But you should have use a more convincing and thought provoking rate like ₦248 to $1 or ₦253 with that everybody gonna get curious.. But with ₦197 everybody knows is a lie and even if it exists, it's the return of GTB ₦199 to $1 ministry

They just migrated from the old WU platform to a new one,

It could be that the branch u went to hasn't been setup on the new platform or the software is not working for that branch

Ria is the cheapest but the bank doesn't make as much as they make with WU and MG. It's been suspended

What is the current 'range of rates' of such a transaction per dollar? i.e. How much do i get charged at the moment in Naira from my account for a Dollar.
