in your case though, i hope you had the latest OS installed? if you did, then you can rest assured the thief cannot make use of the device...even if the person wipes the phone, the phone can only be activated with your BBID

i wlll suggest you go to protect.blackberry.com, log in with your BBID & password to flag the device as stolen

Q10 was released in 2013...i will be surprised if you can still find a new one to buy. you should look at buying a more recent model of the BB10
