adconline: Sadly your post garnered the most likes. OP's use of "where" was correct. "Where" refers to a question about a location of something, such as: "Where is our table?" "Where is our vice president?" "Where is your sense?" "Were" is the plural form of "was." For example:"I WAS at the concert last night. We WERE there all together with my friends." #shame 3 Likes |

PiccoloBrunelli:Good thing you pointed this out, and tactfully at that. Some would've been feeling like "grand champs" in the use of English now. This is a case where the saying that "silence is golden" comes in handy. I wonder what some of our "grand champs" would have done if Adenuga or Dangote offfered them a cheque of a lump sum containing misspelled words? |
