IamPatriotic: My friend. Before 2014/5 where was the ACN outside the South-West. It was as polarised as APGA. If the South East decided in 2012-14 to vote APGA enmasse and proposed a merger with the CPC supporting Buhari where will the west have been. The reality is that APGA moved increasingly to the centre by losing more and more support to the PDP in the East while the west became increasingly polarised. If not for the merger with the CPC the entire west will be under regional leadership. You can't deny that. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: You must be wicked, what are you commending amechi for? He used the military to intimidate innocent voters and you are commending him. I'm sure you are not from rivers state and you were not in the state to witness what the soldiers did. Commending amechi this is unbelievable. 4 Likes |

mistypetal: Were you in the state during the last Gubernatorial election? Do you remember the blood shed? Are you saying this was not less? Do you remember the shooting in the night along Wimpey Junction, Ikwerre Road? The sporadic shooting in different areas of Port-Harcourt? Please the military presence brought sanity. Without them, we would record higher number of dead people. Do you remember the armed thugs at Polling units? 2 Likes |

U guys are not serious o.....just a ward in obioakpo LGA. Which is disposed to be wike's home town. Una funny o. For me, I believe that PDP will carry the day...not because of the aspirants or the governor but because of the sentiments attached...APC is seen as a Muslim party..northerners party...and the south east and south south are still not down with the way Jonathan lost. They see it as a conspiracy between the west and north. So they have decided to cling to PDP as " our own" party..so whether wike rants or not. Whether PDP campaigns or not...whether wike kills or not. It will be difficult for APC . however, woke is still not the best thing that has happened to rivers people. His ugly side is just incubating. I know him for over 20 years now. 2 Likes |

Reference: ACN was. in Edo state, somewhere in Anambra controlling a senatorial district, also in Abia holding on to a HoR seat and it was in Benue and you still call it regional party? for APGA, they've always been known as the party of the disgruntled and outsmarted PDP members in the south east, so there was no how to could go into alliance with any other party other than the PDP. |

Re: #riversrerun: Early Results Emerge by Reference(m): 1:34pm On Mar 20, 2016 |
Look, if the APC wants to get a proper foothold in the south then it should either remove Amaechi as its brand ambassador or send him on a two-year intensive course in political machinations at the University of Bourdillon. When Jonathan became President I knew it would lead to political excitement, split and vigour in the south similar to what Obasanjo caused in the West, the rise of political opposition leading to contest and the attendant improvement in debate. I was not surprised when Amaechi split but instead of creating debate and finding better solutions he degenerated to squabbling, personality and character assasination. Tinubu never did that to Baba. Tinubu went about quietly undermining the PDP by offering a better package. What has Amaechi done as the spearhead of the APC in the south beyond Rivers State. Nothing. He fought Dickson on the right, Akpabio on the left and Uchendu in front. These are not characteristics of a Statesman and I said it last year. It will be a big clog in APC's wheel for a while to come. 5 Likes 1 Share |
