Obviously Airtel is not taking it lightly that some people in some quarters claim that Glo has the highest data plans in the country. To this end, the self aclaimed smartphone network has launched a bumper package that offers 4.5GB at N2000 only (2gb used to cost 2k) and in my opinion, this is a good development. I'll rather pay 2k for 4.5GB than pay 1k for 1GB.

Those were promos. Normal Airtel plan was 2k for 2GB. Their 4.5GB was N3500.

Airtel network is now very fast, Etisalat should continue to dull themselves. I tried the 3gb for N1,500 andI enjoyed it though it got exhausted fast. I did another one the very day I discovered this (it pain me ehn ). Can't wait to finish it so I can subscribe to this.

Airtel 4.5gb for 2k makes more sense if you look at it. Just N600 extra and 1.5gb additional data for two whopping months. According to those that have used it, it doesn't run fast like the BB plan. It's really worth trying out.

If this is not an outright android plan they should swerve with it.

i switched from AIRTEL to etisalat yesterday, Airtel is fast but etisalat is faster

I use both etisalat and airtel at the moment and I agree etisalat is faster but airtel network has improved greatly. I remember when their network was very awful, I dumped their line for etisalat. I decided to give them another try and subscribed for a 3 day plan and I was surprised at how their network has improved. Etisalat should better review their data plans cos they are fast losing their edge as fastest data service providers

Since we're not in Hong Kong and can't expect their kind of speed at the moment , I think what Airtel has done with their connection is quite commendable ; and what is more, their network is good almost everywhere unlike Glo that is location dependent.

What is the latest about MTN? Every other network is rolling out new data plans and all that, but I haven't heard any good news from MTN and Etisalat in a long long time. Kind of boring if you ask me.

Checked Airtel website and their SMS menu and this plan isn't there no! Hope it's not one of those many fake plans we see on nairaland.
