Ugbokolo, the town that houses the Benue State Polythecnic has been flooded after a heavy down pour that lasted for hours.

The rain started between 2am this morning till 6 am and left the residents with the flood, Junior Quarters, a popular student lodge is not in a good state as rooms are filled with water meanwhile documents, beds and other things are submerged in the water.

A public Administration final year student of the Benue state polythecnic cracked a joke that his room is bar beach as he was packing water from his room with a bucket.

Even the well in the lodge where students do fetch water from is filled with dirty water as the toilet and bathrooms too are filled with water.

Anyway, I think this is not the first or second time it's happening. Seems we don't learn lessons even after it keeps reoccurring. Drainage systems should be put in place. School management, student leadership, councillors, community heads. Get to work.
