1] Jonathan sold Petrol at N87 while Buhari is selling at average of N300 & above, yet Buhari supporters think Jonathan was more corrupt and wasteful. 2] When Jonathan Budgeted N1bn for feeding in Aso-Rock in 2011, and N517m in 2015, APC cried wolf and now Buhari's budget for same is N1.7billion. Yet Buharists are mute and still think GEJ was more corrupt and wasteful. 3] Jonathan spent N1.4bn to service all presidential jets in one year while Buhari spends N6bn on same in 6month yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt and wasteful. 4] Jonathan gave more funding to education while Buhari's 2016 budget favours Ministry of information more than education yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt/wasteful. 5] Jonathan spent an average of N8million on each international trip while Buhari spends an average of N55million on each international trip, yet Buharists think GEJ was more corrupt and wasteful. 6] Jonathan created Over 5.8millon jobs in 5yrs while buhari has sacked over 2million workers in 8months. Under Jonathan freedom and liberty of Nigerians was not determined by party affiliation, but today under Buhari his perceived enemies and political opponents are leveled with frivolous allegations of crimes and intimidated with either the EFCC or the DSS. |

Buhari claimed that subsidy was fraud (Who is subsidizing who@) but buhari has spent over N1.2trillion on fuel subsidy in the last 10months and still no fuel while all Buharists have suddenly gone dumb. |

Firefire:Forex reserve was ~$28bn as at May 29th 2015. 10 months later, it is still ~$27bn. But go check the history in http://www.cbn.gov.ng/, under your lord and saviour GEJ, the foreign reserves dropped helplessly from ~$38bn to ~$28bn between 2014 october to 2015 May when oil prices began to drop; i.e. in just 7 months, $10bn was eroded from the CBN forex reserves under the watchful eyes of the ineffectual one and his world class economic team. Meanwhile as at May 29th, 2015, oil still sold above $60/barrel. Search yourself carefully and tell me God did not save Nigeria from those locusts in May 2015? |

Jonathan left Naira exchange rate @ N185 to $1 but Buhari has destroyed the Naira which now sells at N300 - N400 to $1. |

chukscosmos:Ignorance has started creeping in with dagbo figures. As at February 2015, Naira was devalued to N198 to a Dollar (official rate) and as at May 29th, Naira was N220 to $1 on the parallel market. Go check your history at www.abokifx.com. |

LadyExcellency:what are u saying oil price as at september 2011 was $139/barrel that is $114 profit per barrel of oil, so the dollars inflow was very high. compared $35 per barrel average now which is $1 profit per barrel sold leading to shortage of dollar inflow. |
Re: Food Prices: PMB Vs GEJ by Hunger: 2:05pm On Mar 22, 2016 |
Nbote:what do u mean by dollars is nt scarce, Nigeria maintains a mono economy(oil). which means the fall in price of the commodity leads to economy meltdown |

Hunger: What is your problem with exchange rate? Spending and direct foreign investments will stimulate our economy if the Government can create the enabling environment. Learn from this adage "Having no cash doesn't mean poverty". |
Re: Food Prices: PMB Vs GEJ by obailala(m): 2:37pm On Mar 22, 2016 |
LadyExcellency:Nigeria imports almost everything, forex is required to facilitate these imports, oil price drops, there is now a scarcity of forex in the country, the price of forex goes up due to this scarcity and now someone who is bragging about being educated is asking why price of commodities are going up? #WasteOfSchoolFees 1 Like |

Hunger: Yea dollar no scarce.. D scarcity we're experiencing is an artificial scarcity systematically created by the Central bank's restrictions on dollar sales. Banks simply hoard d ones dey get from d central bank and do their own businesses with it. D fall global oil prices didn't happen overnight which is reminiscent in d steep slide d naira experienced and partly due to govt's(minister of finance) indecision on how to tackle it. Dollar scarcity isn't an excuse for d lingering fuel scarcity |
Re: Food Prices: PMB Vs GEJ by Hunger: 3:25pm On Mar 22, 2016 |
LadyExcellency:what type of foreign investment?. if you depend on that it wont stop the dollar scarcity, do u mean that saudi arabia, venezuela, russia and egypt dont have economists or big foreign investors, because the problem nigeria is facing nw is better than other oil exporting countries. |
Re: Food Prices: PMB Vs GEJ by Hunger: 3:33pm On Mar 22, 2016 |
Nbote:the Cbn have no dollar talk more of selling to all importers, the fuel scarcity we experience is as a result of low price of crude oil, Nigerian fuel refining capacity cannot serve the whole country, hence the need to import refined fuel, The importers are already running out of dollars already to continue their business. |
