kdf3449:That means you have to print out your statement of account from UAE and bring it down to Nigeria... your letter of employment and necessary document. Good luck |

seyewest:Seconded. Wait until madam has status and no longer just ' a visitor' in UAE Applying in Nigeria shaaaaaaa may lead to orisirishi questions and maybe admin processing. The vos in uae already know about employment status in their country and the usual practices. So I'm rooting for wait a lil bit for madam to be settled then apply in uae |

OmoBendel24: It depends on the mistake made: 1. For men over 16 years old, if you made a mistake answering the question about GENDER OR PURPOSE OF TRAVEL, you need to fill out a new DS 160 form and print the new confirmation page. 2. For all applicants: if you made a mistake answering the question about biographical data such as: Passport Number, Names, Addresses, or Phone Numbers, you can correct the information yourself in the form. If you cannot make the correction in the form, on the day of the interview you should inform the person receiving your documents about the mistake. 3. For all applicants: if you made a mistake answering the questions about your Family, Education, Travel, or any Security-related question, you must complete a new DS-160 form and print a new confirmation page. ALSO According to the information contained in the U.S. Dept of State bulletin: Once an Applicant has submitted the DS 160 online application, the application cannot be accessed to make changes. In order to make the required changes, a new DS 160 must be filled out and submitted so that a new bar code will be generated, which must be taken to the interview at the U.S. Consulate/Embassy as the case may be. If the Applicant realizes that there are errors in the submitted information after being scheduled for an interview appointment, the Applicant should cancel the interview, fill out a new DS 160 and schedule a new interview appointment with a new confirmation sheet and barcode. However, in case of a minor spelling error, the Applicant may attend the scheduled interview and inform the Consular Officer of the error without completing a new form. Applicants should know that incorrect information on the DS 160 will impact the information printed on the visa and may result in the U.S. Consulate/Embassy requesting a new DS 160 before completing the visa interview. While it is not possible to change information on a DS-160 after it has been submitted, there are two easy options for creating a new DS-160. FIRST: If it is within 30 days from when the original application was submitted, the first option is to log into the CEAC system and select “Retrieve an Application” using the application ID number. Next, you will be asked whether you want to go to the confirmation page or create a new application. Select create a new application, and the entire application will appear, except for travel plans to the U.S. Then, you will need to edit and update the information and submit again. SECONDLY: If you saved the DAT file from the original application, you can access and amend the information at any time from an already submitted application. Once the changes have been made, save and submit the new application. For either option, if the original DS-160 was used to book the visa appointment or pay the MRV fee, the applicant MUST present at the interview the confirmation pages from the new AND original DS-160, as each submission creates a different barcode. 2 Likes |

@seyewest Information is useful when and only When it is shared. When people have it and hoard it of what use is it? Imagine where everybody has this attitude of, I'll share to a select few? U think the software creators don't know about the processes to edit ds 160? Without meaning to be rude, if u don't want to share it in public on a forum meant to assist then don't mention it. Let people kuku do it the way they have been doing it. Thanks Tze for that detailed info 1 Like |

@Itstyme.. Thank you for response. I really appreciate it. I have checked out the website of URtec 2016, as proffered by you but the "Register Now" Tab, says "Registration will be opening in March". Please check back soon for more details. I wanted to find out how much registration cost, because it wasn't stated on there. Do you know what I can do now or another alternative? Thanks again for your time. Itstyme: |

Hello guys, plz help me. My interview is around the corner. I will be going for a conference in IL, its a big show n related to wot i do here. I have registered and got a confirmation of registration from the organiser, but they dont send IV. Just confirmation of payment for the show. And I have got a business associate in FL too, who wants me to visit him for business discussion and all as well before going to my conference. I will like to visit him first n be heading to IL from his place. He has given me his invitation addressed to the embassy starting i will be with him for 2 days before going to IL and book my hotel too. Now here is my question. Where re u going in the States, and your contact person: Who should i fill plz? The conference organizer in IL(i dont av their IV only confirmation of registration) or my friend Buz associate in FL(already gave me IV n hotel booking). I want to submit the DSL 160 form shortly. Plz help. Thanks. |

DCTrendy: Bro, you need to know what your priority is, if anyone in the thread tells you what to fill then that person should be responsible when you fail, prioritize ur trip and intent and follow whats more important. based on your post whichever way you choose to apply is fine, but how far with your ties? Because that is what the VO's are trained to look at, for all they care you could be lying about your trip & intent. For the other question u asked, you can use whatever confirmation you got, just let the VO know that it was all you got after payment. Goodluck! |

DC In addition, what kind of business are u going to conduct? Even though that wasn't ur question. What are u going to the us to do? What would be ur answer if askked by the vo? That would guide u in knowing who ur contact person is. |

What answers do the VOs expect from people when they ask these questions? Where are you going? What are you going to do? Why are you going there? Especially if someone is going for a conference? I think they expect more explanation from people than the answers we give. Please let's help out.. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by OmoBendel24: 12:20pm On Mar 23, 2016 |
Milllz:A quick check done just now shows no figure particularly as of now, but the last I saw was 31,520 Naira. i.e. $160 * 197, maybe a new exchange rate is in the offing or something as it is now. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by OmoBendel24: 12:36pm On Mar 23, 2016 |
seyewest:Yes and No Seye. "Yes" because that describes scenario 2. "No" to the extent that there is an additional twist in my scenario 1, i.e. one that has submitted and wants to replace the application ID used in booking appointment with another one. Seems you have discovered the backdoor to what the technical team does to assist applicants in this regard. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by OmoBendel24: 1:03pm On Mar 23, 2016 |
grabeconnie:IMO, these questions are asked during interview to elicit and gauge your firm grasp of reasons for your travel. I still believe that this is the best time to make your first impression, a well crafted itinerary in your mind becomes very handy to pull out here via the agency of your mouth. I will answer these three questions simultaneously in a coherent whole format if asked one. "I'm going to so and so place for this and this.... For so and so purpose.... From so and so date to that and that date". Just an opportunity to prove you know where, when, how, what and why amongst other variables you are going to the States methinks. The other follow-up questions will come hereafter, just make do with these first questions to lay some solid foundation for starters 3 Likes |

Onicemus: Call the embassy ASAP, since last year they discontinued the method of going to the interview with a different Ds160 confirmation on your appointment letter and they won't correct at also at the embassy on that day. Here's the number 014406218 be prepared to answer a brief set of questions like ur passport number, mrv etc... 2 Likes 1 Share |
