It pains me most time when i come on this Forum and see people talking about 2019 elections and still talking about PDP and APC. Aren't we tired of all dis recycling of Politicians? Have we ever looked at 2019 beyond party affiliation? We talk of these two parties like they are the only parties in the country and that is why they keeping plunging the country into deeper political crisis. I want to believe there is Vacancy is Aso Rock in 2019, not for PDP nor APC but for someone who a good party manifesto, someone with feasible vision of the country and well planned working policies to drive this country to greater development. We aren't asking you to touch all areas, pick one, two or three areas and perform exceedingly in it. Obama performed well in healthcare and economy and failed in security, trump is promising security for the Americans. Not one person who will come and promise Heaven and Earth and end up doing nothing. |

TonyeBarcanista: I read your write up and i've been observing for quite some time, the funny thing about u is dat U celebrate every single negative news about Nigeria/our economy/ Buhari and APC. U would quickly analyse it and heap d blame at d doorstep of the new administration and APC. I initially expected u 2 be more intelligent dan some vague assumptions and conclusions u make in your analysis and write-ups. Back to d topic, no one gave u right to assume for d south-west and notherners that they do not support this government and Buhari. For u to think because of the current economic hardship and transition the country is going through that the people of South-west, North and middle-belt are not intelligent enough to know that CHANGE is what they asked for and not a MIRACLE, is the greatest mistake and miscalculation you and your party PDP are making again. No one expected the government that took over depleted Foreign reserve, battered economy, insecurity and high rate of unemployment to do a miracle in 10months with the current crash in Oil price and no budget. Government's policies, infrastructural development and projects are all tied to budgets which has not been in place since he took over. I expected you and every Nigerian irrespective of tribe or religion to support the country to move forward after 16 years of bashing and corruption Nigeria witnessed under your PDP. We waited for 16 years and PDP failed Nigerians, so Nigerians are prepared to start all over again and give Buhari and APC at least 3more years then we would access their performance before anyone could start talking of vacancy in Aso Rock or not. We all know the reason the statement of "no vacancy in Aso rock in 2019" was to calm the tension within APC and different interest groups, they know Nigerians would kick them out if they do not perform. Note: Please before I end, i'll like to ask you a 2 questions Mr Tonyebarcanista, 1. Why is it dat u don't ever comment on any good news about Nigeria? 2. Why is it that u don't ever comment on any negative news about PDP/GEJ and the past administration? My advice to u: Be a Nigerian and not a blind regional politician without depth and vision. -MacFloyd Cc: modath omenka tuale4u hungerbad Cleverly NgeneUkwenu 15 Likes 3 Shares |

This is the first time in a while a sensitive topic will be discussed without some people attacking PMB and calling him unprintable names. This is actually nice. But am curious as to why. Tonyebarcanista over to you. My 2 bits: Baba will rule again. |

Alphaoscar:pls read this and stop that blame of 16 years misrule that's why they are voted out so that new government can come in and save us not blame. THE FIRST HUNDRED DAYS Roosevelt’s quest to end the Great Depression was just beginning. Next,he asked Congress to take the first step toward ending Prohibition— one of the more divisive issues of the 1920s— by making it legal once again for Americans to buy beer. (At the end of the year, Congress ratified the 21st Amendment and ended Prohibition for good.) In May, he signed the Tennessee Valley Authority Act into law, enabling the federal government to build dams along the Tennessee River that controlled flooding and generated inexpensive hydroelectric power for the people in the region. That same month, Congress passed a bill that paid commodity farmers (farmers who produced things like wheat, dairy products, tobacco and corn) to leave their fields fallow in order to end agricultural surpluses and boost prices. June’s National Industrial Recovery Act guaranteed that workers would have the right to unionize and bargain collectively for higher wages and better working conditions; it also suspended some antitrust laws and established a federally funded Public Works Administration. In addition to the Agricultural Adjustment Act, the Tennessee Valley Authority Act, and the National Industrial Recovery Act, Roosevelt had won passage of 12 other major laws, including the Glass-Steagall Banking Bill and the Home Owners’ Loan Act, in his first 100 days in office. Almost every American found something to be pleased about and something to complain about in this motley collection of bills, but it was clear to all that FDR was taking the “direct, vigorous” action that he’d promised in his inaugural address. pls did you hear Roosevelt blaming the Republican party or Hobart hoover for the great depression? be wise pls. |

Even doh Nigerians r complaining of d economic hardship, we all still understand it's going to be a gradual process and after 4yrs if Buhari fails den we can start attacking him. |

I think pdp will be a good option in 2019. These are my reasons: 1: most of the corrupt pillars in the pdp we use to know are now in apc. 2:pdp has national spread owing to their long time in power. 3:pdp must merge with kowa and apga. 4:pdp must not allow any prostitute to come into their fold in the name of defection. Then we are game. |

Lol Lack of understanding of Nigeria's politics. Buhari and group are not like Jonathan who felt like being in a cage for 16 years he was in government house. Aboki/APC loves power. It can't give up power again easily. The persons who truly live in a different world are those from the south south who still don't see that if Nigeria continues to be governed the way it is, before long, lots of south south, and lots of southeast areas must be rendered completely non-habitable. Nigeria is unworkable. Toad does not run in the day for nothing. |

"No vacancy in Aso rock come 2019". OP, you got this all wrong. Did the presidency or any member of the APC come out openly to declare it? The APC used this motion in its meeting to tell party members who may have interest(s) come 2019. Why must the PDP or wailers always see things in a different "light"? For the record, the APC have 3 more years to deliver & wailers are only giving them the more reason(s) and an added incentive to perform better. I can assure you, come 2019 PDP would lose more "seats" than they have. |

I beg to know the candidate the PDP would present. My guess is "you have no idea" - save the fact that it would be a northerner, that tell you how desperate the PDP are in search of power. |

Macfloyd:You don't get it. He's a non-'party'san politician. That's why a lot of us easily misunderstand him. He belongs to all parties but is for no party. He is also nationalistic if that would favor his tribe. In this context, you realize that Tonye is a true Statesman in the making, in the mould of the likes of GEJ, His hero and Buhari, his previous Mentor. While others are in politics for what they will share, Tonye's in it for what might be shared. He's a master at analyzing, predicting, and revising his predictions. Tonye is the role model all Niger Deltans should aspire to become. No party can tie him down, for he loves all parties equally. And will done and wine with any, without sentiments. His principles aren't based on what he might gain, but what gains can be made. It would be a shame if a man with such talents be used as a political tool. modath omenka tuale4u hungerbad Cleverly NgeneUkwenu |

TonyeBarcanista:This write up is typical of a failed wailing opposition. Though its too early to start any campaign especially that the govt is so unlucky to have taken over governance at a bad time. Non the less, U goofed in many of your ascertions, Ie scam cbn recuitment; it did not happen recently in all. This was done right from GEJ Time but just been revealed now. Heards men killing is not today. It has been there and effort to stop it is been made by creation of graizing land. Besides, defeat of boko boys is enough for NE contrary to ur view, also, the benefits to vulnerable is not yet totally stopped. The hardship is terrible but trust, majority of Apc voters believe foundation is being laid for the future. Besides, the first buget of the govt is just passed and yet to be implemented. The massive looting being currently uncovered by this govt is a factor that makes peole dump pdp. Success or failure of apc depends on their performance on long run and not short as u think. Pdp already has a terrible mark on mind of average voter. Besides, efforts are being made to improve on card reader, the machine that reduces rigging, pdp's favourite. |

DeadWrong: who is we, and who are you to pontificate to the South west on who and who not to vote for? Get this and get it clearly, you and your fellow political neophytes, the vote against PDP in the SW was a protest vote against perceived marginalisation of the Yoruba people by GEJ orchestrated by the Igbos, it was a perception based on seeing that all the appointments were going to the Igbos at that time, that is why APC won marginally in the SW, heck, the margin of victory was only about 500k votes in a region with more than 10m voters. You Tinubu boys think you now own SW politically, bunch of jokers, you will get a rude awakening very soon when your realise that Tinubu is a nonentity in SW politics and is not any strategist, just an over hyped treacherous opportunist. Your eyes will clear very soon. 1 Like |
