Before u run into applauding this move, ask ur self these simple questions;
1) Who r d poor n vulnerable?
2) What measure do u use to determine d poor and vulnerable?
3) Where do u fine most poor and vulnerable?

If u have been to the north before (am not talking north central), u will knw and agree with me that this is a North project (buhari's kinsmen) and Osinbajo is just being Osinbajo (didn't know, doesn't know n still will not know the actual things his president is doing). Osinbajo doesn't evven use his brain wich he has d right to use to think.

What defines poor and vulnerable in Nigeria?

This is a joke of an Administration .

Provide the fertile grounds for small businesses to thrive( easy access to good education, power, roads and other economic infrastructures) , and then small small, you alleviate poverty.

My personal unbiased/ biased opinion is that this is going to be a wealth transfer from the productive citizens of the South to the non-productive citizens of the North.
Everything about Buhari's body language suggests that this is all he wants to achieve.

I hope I am wrong.

to what effect would this populist agenda result to, how sustainable is it, those it have a long term prospect, how much of the budget would it consume

I fear for the short sightedness of our leaders, if this type of money is injected Into infrastructure properly the poor won't have to wait for handouts and stipends from the government I don't know how some people in government reason with their feet

all we need is proper infrastructure and basic amenities

But it is a fact that Northern Nigeria is the seat of poverty, and that Buhari, true to his antecedents, feels an obligation to placate this constituency by these ad hoc measures.

I participated in the creation of the Register for the Kwara State and I can tell you sincerely that the Register actually contain the name of the poor and free from political influence.

Which exchange rate are u using VP?...

$1 = N320, abi

$1 = N199

Anyways I doubt if u were referring to the former.

120mil Nigerians live on less than (199*2) N398 per day.

And these ones are suppose to feed, cloth, pay rent and take care of other miscellanies from this paltry sum.

I think Nigerians are one of the most law abiding citizens in the world.

Subject the westerners to this kind of hardship and see madness.

Before u talk of this ur laudable program, there are basics that the government must put on place for all, then those who can't get it, ie the last on the social cadre, will be termed poor n vulnerable. Such as electricity, good road, housing, water, education etc,
No body in Nigeria from the person that you call rich to the one u call poor suffer the bad effect of the above basics. So who is the poor now?

Very foolish post. The US and Europe still have social intervention programmes yet they have everything. And yes again it is a transfer of wealth to lazy and drug addicted people from hard working people. So what?
