Al-Jazeera Portrays Nigerian Women As Prostitutes: Nigerians On Twitter React by ceo247frolic(m): 2:17pm On Mar 25, 2016 |
Earlier today, International news channel, Al Jazeera, published an article on their twitter handle with the headline above. The article was written to celebrate a Nigerian female mechanic. However many Nigerians on twitter felt the story title was inappropriate as it kinda portrayed all Nigerian women as prostitutes. See their reactions after the cut.. http://www.newshelm.com/2016/03/nigerians-come-for-al-jazeera-over.html 2 Shares

Booked. I'll comment later.. Al-Jazeera messed up big time, what survey did they conduct that made them ascertain that that woman is the first female mechanic? Secondly, generalisation of Nigerian women being prostitutes is totally unacceptable. BTW why are nairaland wailers wailing? 6 Likes |

But come to think of it; Most Nigerian girls would hardly turn down mouthwatering offer for sexual gratification. Even if perhaps they are not full blown prostitute in the conventional sense Nevertheless, it is a bit insulting to all our hardworking women in Nigeria. I guess an error of over-generalization on AJ's part. Talk of few bad eggs tainting the quality of other good ones. 14 Likes |

Seriously? ? Anyway do you blame them? Even on Nairaland here, isn't that what many of you guys are quick to call a girl whose views you might not agree with? Bítch, Olosho, hóe, whóre, prostituté, slút, Ashéwo .... E no dey pass that one and you think the world isn't watching. You don't respect your women and you want others to? Funny! 64 Likes 9 Shares |

Before you talk: remember that as long as you depend on a man to recharge card, Dstv, light or buy you this and that or take you and your mother or sister shopping in Dubai or living off a man --Ajazeera is speaking to you! Learn mechanic or hair dressing instead of waiting for a man to pay you for spreading your legs for him. Most Nigerian women now feel entitled to your money as soon as you start sleeping with them or even collect their number. E sweet me, e sweet you, yet you want me to pay? Funny thing is, even the so called pilots and doctors and Lawyers have joined this game. Most of them have that chairman that pay for the expensive clothes, perfumes and vacations. There are still decent ones who don't, but they have become the endangered specie. 61 Likes 6 Shares |
