I wanted him to sound genuine. Make real effort to prove to me that he is not a scammer. If he is for real, he'll know that my fear is not uncommon. He could have agreed with my suggestion. Definitely I would have come to sing his praises here on NL. And that would have helped his business. Cuz I know a lot of us are craving for something like this but credibilty and sincerity has been the problem and My profile doesn't look like a Scammer's profile. On the other if agreeing to my suggestion is not good business for him, they're other ways.....

1. He could suggest that when he sends the 20mb and I test it and it's okay. When I send him 1k card for the real 4GB, he will deduct his 20MB i.e. Sending 3980MB.(BTW,I could still be scammed with this method if he is really a scammer. You can see he is still not smart enough. If we wan be thief, EFCC no reach grin grin na joke ooo)

2. Another thing he could have suggested is that I pay in bits and he sends it in bits, i.e. If I send N250 he will send 1GB. So he should send 1GB to every N250 I send. Until we get to our target.

I no dey like long typing. I prefer talking. Lol.

My dear, as you can see, I believe I've been able to prove to you that, he is NOT A BUSINESS MAN. BUT A SCAMMER!!! Because all I outlined is how a real business man thinks.

A customer is scared of being scammed which is a norm in your line of business. If you're real, you'll have to be convincing.

The same guy is everywhere on this phone section now. I know the mods will soon block him and his posts. But before they do. Do yourself a favor and click on his posts and checkout his profile!!! Guy wey register today.

Op, actually this conversation doesn't prove he is a scammer. But the reality is he is TRULY A SCAMMER. U have been chatting with the guy with the moniker infocenter. He keeps opening new moniker everyday and post the same thing everyday, and the funny thing is all his monikers start with INFO followed by some numbers. He is a bloody kid scammer. His phone number is 08163151651 and that's the same number he provided in the Whatsapp chat

Abeg, this doesnt prove to me that he's a scammer.

If everyone that wants to earn his trust request for 20MB, how many MB go remain for am to sell if he was real?

It is true this doesn't prove he's a scammer. But have u heard of infocenter? The guy with the highest number of monikers on Nairaland. 2 monikers everyday, over 600 Nairaland monikers a year, posting the same thing and all his monikers start with info followed by some numbers. He claims he sells 5gb for 1,200 and 10gb for 2,000. Tell me how is he not a scammer. That is the same guy the op has been chatting with, his number is 0 8 1 6 3 1 5 1 6 5 1 . done worry, keep an eye on this section u will still see his post and verify the phone number.

Any body who doesn't know the popular Makinde Azeez impersonator on nairaland must be a f**l or just coming out from prison. The guy that open up to 10 accounts everyday to scam people. Thanks to mod that do ban him every day. But he doesn't relent and he keeps on opening new accounts everyday.

Lord knows how many emails he would have created to open this accounts and how many phone numbers he's got.

@Davedoz

The Whatsapp conversation screenshot you posted up there proves nothing. You can't win a court case with that screenshot.

Let me make it absolutely clear here that I'm NOT endorsing the 'data reseller'.

If you had based your accusations on his data price (4gb for 1k etc..), it'll be understandable.

Asking him to send 20mb before he gains your trust is just plain hilarious. What's to stop you from deleting him once you get the mb? Do you know he can counter accuse you of being the scammer here?

In your conversation with him, you keep repeating 'words' 'just words'... How can you prove that you will still buy the data if he sends you the 20mb? No 'words' please. Just prove it.

He might be a scammer, but that conversation proves nothing yet.

Great points stated and noted. My first post is not so elaborate. But I did an elaborate explanation when I replied VickyRotex. It's just below the first post. Check it out.

I read it before commenting.

The two points you made there will work in your favour.

Now put yourself in hie shoe (assuming he is legit), will you send goods to a stranger customer who doesn't trust you just to prove you are genuine? Won't you reason within yourself, 'what if he runs away with the bit I sent him'?

Already you have shown him you don't trust him, how do you expect him to trust you?

No na.... You didn't get the 2nd point bro. HE should have suggested that, since I'm being skeptical about it, I should test him with a smaller amount like N250 and let me see if He won't send the data equivalent 1GB.
If he had said that, by now the story would be different. I didn't want to suggest it myself. Since I'm still at risk. I just wanted him to show me that he is genuine with genuine ideas and strategies. That's all bro.

it is either you are hopelessly stup1d or you are a scammer too. If you have 900+GB how can 20mb be a problem? Don't you know that picture of the 900gb is photoshopped? OP knew it was a scam but wanted to prove to others too. Please don't be a retard.

Wait please. What exactly did I say to warrant this insult from you? Thank You!

Was wondering too.

Op be too quick to judge.

You dont wanna send 1k and u expect him to send 20mb, It is the same. You both didn't trust each other. Until we have better proof then this accusation is not valid

Exactly what I'm tryna let the Op understand. He might be a scammer, but this conversation doesnt prove that. So it's invalid.

https://www.nairaland.com/2136980/mtn-1-gig-1000-naira. sorry bro. but you can try us ou next time. legit and being on for more than a year
Re: My Conversation With One Of The Data Scammers On NL by bablojnr: 7:31pm On Mar 26, 2016
Btw its likely a clear scam. check the prices of other data sellers. most are at least 1000 for one gig and thats because that is usually the cost price. Do not fall for him. Also for mtn usually the least is one gig(usually) so its unlikely that any genuine data seller would want to sell 250mb because he or she wont be able to sell off a 750mb slot that way
