Can't understand why they couldn't even waive some percentage. Going by this thread, I've learnt some schools give funding easier than others. However, they may not have your desired course, while others have over-zealous requirements.
The whole thing don tire person. I'll have to make do with the most affordable offer.

I don't think anyone can really comment on your chances on getting a visa. I think the most important things are communicating effectively to prove that you are a genuine student and that you have home times.

I'd advice you to be careful about mentioning you want to work while studying. I don't know if it's legal.

Mississippi State University. After deducting the funding obtained, I am in a credit position. So technically I'm not paying anything from my personal funds.

Thoroughly research schools and their requirements
Get your list of schools and begin your application
Write GRE n TOEFL and submit scores
Submit transcripts and LORs
Submit SOP showing your motivation
Submit any other docs required e.g CV, publications, etc.

Some schools might ask you to contact potential supervisors and get their consent before applying. Though this is more common in Canada.

Analytical chemistry is good. Depending on your profile and more importantly, your desire for success, you can definitely get a fully funded offer from a lot of schools.

I've been getting conflicting reports on this. Seems some schools will still prefer you to submit bank statements. Though this doesn't make sense to me.
