Ecdanbel don't say what you are not asked keep your answers simple and short, your answers are really too long, when he asks what are you going to do you go pour all those answers down, just stick with the main purpose of visit because before you pour all that story down v.o would have cut in and asked another question. Exactly my same thought. Its good to be prepared but don't cram abeg. Be prepared for any question posed anyhow it is couched. Keep an open mind and also keep the answers brief.
Your purpose of travel is ok. If person can travel to see snow, then visiting church headqtrs make sense die.
Go with a copy of your magazine and be prepared for a question on your job functions and why u aren't travelling with the wife.

You are over thinking this.
If the V.O asks a question answer smartly with the truth.
Do not try to give long winded explanations, they will just cut you off.

Only answer the questions asked!
Sometimes they are not even listening to your answer but assessing your body language and the way you respond.
Remember they are trained to read these signs.

I do not know how this belief that one must go for a vacation with family gained ground.I applied for vacation as a married woman ALONE. I was asked why I was travelling alone and I explained the hubby had work .
So if asked u simply answer with whatever is the truth. And Benny is right. Stop over thinking. If u are saying the truth , u don't need to rehearse

You seem a whole lot good to go, just let some of these things flow naturally, get the best hold of your purpose of visit. Organize your finances properly, know when to do a yes and no response and when to do some concise explanation. Na so I see am

What worked for A may not for B. However, as a single person you could vacate alone what about being married and vacating alone.
My experience at the embassy proved this lividly all the single folks vacating were abruptly denied while the family of 4 and 5 ahead of me got their visas, even an Indian family sef.

However, if you read up this thread you'll see transcripts where the VO's made this an issue by asking "WHY ARE YOU NOT TRAVELING WITH YOUR FAMILY?"

IMO i believe it's a 50:50 thing... with or without family, but you stand a better chance with your family if YOU HAVE ONE ALREADY. It shows financial strength , responsibility and lastly oyinbos don't believe you vacate alone with your family right back at home (except there's a reason), in american culture and films it very evident as they do so in caravans crossing the country with the whole family or as a group.

Make sure you also state that you are going for the holiday not to visit your uncle
Be confident too and make it as conversational as possible.

"No travel history/experience" is a minus for your kind of application to be frank with you, could probably even pose a big one at that. Answer these questions sir: What and what in your "genuine" opinion will bring you back to Naija if granted the visa? Why exactly will you say your uncle is sponsoring you? The school you are attending; what course are you studying and its span, what amount is your school fees and what semester are you doing right now?

Yeah @BenIyoha01 Bruce , but my emphasis is on merits and demerits. It varies like I earlier submitted. I know of a family where despite their many travels, the wife couldn't get a visa till hubby and son where yanked off her application. Her husband already got his visa earlier on without her without issues, had to jettison dropbox system just to attend an interview with her after her first refusal to no avail, only his visa was granted/renewed. Different strokes for different folks I reemphasize. We are almost saying about the same thing methinks

Meanwhile @Beniyoha01, this isn't actually about "oyinbo doesn't believe" thing necessarily, what obtains in a particular social context as ours is a consideration worth acknowledging, and those oyinbo at each country's post do acknowledge this while handling applications/applicants.

From both of your summations, so we all agree nothing is cast in stone. That's my point. Advice should have that caveat and not potray that view as 100 % certain.

Really are you already disqualifying me?? Don't be too quick to do that .. That I hadn't traveled before doesn't mean I can't get a visa .. After two weeks I'll post here on my success newz ... If only you know me .. I'm not boasting but with God noting is impossible... I have that fate ... It's not a do or die affair , if I don't get .. I'll rest, but believe you me ..
