ur blind hate for Islam is unsurprisingly beginning to ve its tow on ur sanity! Ur hypocritical stance on issues, bearing on Islam and Muslims, is even soooo cheaply visible to d blind! Even ur sense of shame is soooo drastically diminished that u nolonger care to pay attention to ur conscience wen commenting about Muslims! The courageous cleric in this case only advised and reminded the gov that he is a govnor and not some street touts ! Unlike Pastor Sulieman who reined causes and wishes death upon Elrufai, this exemplary muslim cleric only admonished the desperate govnor to get hold of himself and not to throw caution in d wind! I think u shud stop being shamelessly prejudiced and advice ur pastors to take cue from the Muslim cleric! Be reminded that Ur shamelessness is not in anyway beneficial to d integrity of ur religion!
I am a Christian but I won't attack you for your comment. I rather will commend u for your insight because people here are blinded by religion that we all forget that we are first human beings and should behave like beings with a higher IQ than animals. I commend the courageous cleric for his admonition. It's obvious fayose doesn't know how to control his mouth and it surprises me sometimes the kind of words he utters. But please let us respect each other's religion. Do not let an irresponi Christian charlatan make u lose your composure and sound like an irresponsible Muslim charlatan too. Remember when two fools are fighting... let's keep religion aside and make reasonable comments and also brainstorm on ways to lead a better life. Believe me a lot of people come here, read comments and learn a lot. Let's keep it civil. Cheersb

. Where did you left? It should be where did you leave your manners?
When making a sentence, if the first verb is in present tense, the next immediate verb must be in past tense vis visa.
Now look @ these sentences and learn:
1) Where did(past tense) you buy(present tense) the bread?
Where did you bought the bread is wrong.
2)It is high time you left this forum(very correct). Ok
Mr teacher.... it is vice versa.... not vis visa.

This is what the Quran says -Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided. - An-Nahl : 125

The cleric didn't have to insult the governor in public. Every form of admonition should be done with respect and prefarably in private.

Cleric has no business with politics. Beside he shouldn't have issued such advise to a state icon in public,
the Holy Bible and Glorious Qur'an both admonished us to obey constituted authority.
Fayose is not an ordinary man, he is the Chief Security/Executive of the State, he deserve some respect.

Though I'm not comfortable with Fayose replying him right there.
If a mad man slap u and pick race and u follow him both of u would be regarded as mad men.
As a Governor, he has spokespersons who can reply the cleric through press release even after the event.
Or channel their grievances to the supreme council.

Both of them have succeeded in decimating the integrity of the state.
it amazes me hw ppl claim Cleric av no biz wit politics. That was where we got it all wrong. When u look at the Holy Bible, leader were usually men of God. From Abraham, Moses, Samuel to David.
Hw did Prophet Samuel warn Saul? Was it secretly? If Samuel had done it secretly wuld we had heard of it? And hw did Saul reacted? Did he verbaly attacked Samuel?
It all depends on Fayose's temperament.
This is the same Fayose that ordered his thugs to beat up a judge.
Imagine wat wuld av happened to the man judging by hw Fayose verbally attacked him in public?
Lets place the blame wher it belong- Fayose is a Rascal.

you are damn right my brother. Most Yoruba Muslim clerics I know often time trade cures and abuses on themselves. They indulge in abusive competition to show supremacy over one another.

Alhaji muideen, is a respected cleric amongst the Yoruba Muslims, but he should have been orientated before hand of whom Fayose is.

I assume he has forgotten Fayose is not one of the clerics the exchange bashing words with.
Instead of moral teachings in their sermon, it's the show and wrestle for supremacy they offer in place of life touching sermons. Am yet to see a Yoruba Muslim clerics that is void of these traits. Am yet to see.

I know there are lots, but am yet to see one.

may God bless you beyond your imaginations. A lot of people here talk with needless sentiments. Sheik Muhideen is a renowned Islamic cleric who doesn't care who you are... he speaks the truth the way it is. I am very sure he would have done the same thing to anyone. You should listen to some of his lectures... You will know what I am talking about. He is a very plain cleric. For instance, when saheed osupa wanted to Christen his child... the cleric was invited. He didn't go because he asked saheed to loosen his plaited hair and saheed osupa refused. Also when sikiru ayinde(barrister) died... at his funeral people were dressed gorgeously and seen eating joyously. He talked to them and you could see meat falling off people's hands.... the man is just very unbiased; a very respected cleric. So fayose should just calm down.... that advice wasn't borne out of politics. He would have done same to anyone.... irrespective of the political inclinations.

Picking up a bible story of when prophet nathan was to accuse the king david of an obvious crime as murder he had to go in a circle by using a proverb to lay his accusation. Some conversations are better suited for private conversations as not all are for public consumption.

Those at the event said the preacher told Fayose that as the Number One citizen of the state, he needs to be more cautious in his public utterances.
(according to the reports)

The cleric himself should have taken a pointer from his own advice as they are both yorubas and his statement could have been interpreted anyhow. e.g 'you no sabi talk'. We all know the governor speaks more than he should as we see in the media but there is also proper means of presentation of arguments which would not yield misconceptions.

Two wrongs do not make a right anyway and the governor chose to heat up the event by verbal retorts (according to the reports) instead of jokingly saying something like "as clerics you have the duty to keep us the electorate on our toes and sometimes it might be interpreted as uncaution while at the same time my very self take it upon myself to caution fellow politicians so I know what I am doing" and the whole place would have roared with laughter.

Well there always exist the chance to mend fences.

Where was that cleric when el rufai and Fashola were insulting GeJ

All these imams that are fighting for Aisha rice nomination

All those quoting me with sick heart should look in the mirror and tell me how they insult Ayo Oritsejafor and Daddy Oyedepo because of their support for Gej.

They should also tell me where was this cleric when The likes of Lai Mohammed, Amaechi, Fayemi, Fashola, El Rufai and their ilks were abusing Gej and spreading lies.

The cleric should stay away from politics and focus on redemption for the stray muslims like boko haram who has made killing their hobby

Spreading lies against IB .

Yes it was reported as an "advise" but it didn't augur will with the sitting governor which makes it an insult to his person and position which he is entitled to defend! It's not even abt d religion, Fayose would av done the same to Mbaka if he insults him to his face. Pple should learn decorum and protocol. Keep checking dear. Lool.
