have you ever been to akwa ibom? This is ikot ekpene(IK) and the location you posted is the plaza opposite Sheraton four point hotel (under construction). I'm sorry to disappoint you but this is the only development in IK apart from good roads moreover akpabio is not from ikot ekpene.

Akwa ibom is not very different from other poor states in nigeria. The good roads that lead into Akwa ibom are MNDA constructed roads and that is why they look good. Internal roads in Akwa ibom state/cities/towns are very bad.

Situation of light here is not different from Osun state. Only Ibeno gets almost 24/7 light from Mobil.

Serious problem. And its because we Africans don't know about government systems. Just like most pple dont know abt business systems when starting a business. They just do everything d primitive way like our forefathers.

I am from osun state but I won't be too jealous (may God punish all my past and present govs sha ), but I think to put it in perspective, akwa ibom is a rich state. Richest in Nigeria. I can imagine if every state had even just 70% resource control - the southsouth should be like Paris.

Was Akwa Ibom like that when he met it?
U guys forget so soon that Akwa Ibom and katsina were created same day, same year, yet u can't compare the two states.
Places like kano, Kaduna, Lagos, Port Harcourt, etc were already made more than 50years ago, but Akwa Ibom came out from no where and pushed most of them to d dungeon.

Listen even the roads hour built in the most rural areas of that state can't be compared to a lot of major roads in Lagos. Go and verify if u like. The man try Abeg. You're hating him won't make any difference. One bit.
