Bamz:Please did you apply to university of alberta for Fall 2016? If you did, have you been given admission because I applied and I haven't heard from the school. They keep sending me a reminder that my application has not been forgotten. |

I really don't know or even want to know at this point.. I just need my passport to get the hell outta here and back to work. This their processing method and excuses is not necessary at all and probably isn't even working for them.... People will always try to immigrate to any country at all. SegunWamiri: 1 Like |

Good day all, Let me place my history proper so I can be properly guided by guru’s in the house. I have been working for two years now and I am married with a child. I have been given admission to do a post graduate in Nursing. Please I need to know the following before applying for visa. 1. Do I need sponsor for my education or i should be my own sponsor as I am finding it difficult to find one 2. Should I apply as married or single cause I will like my wife to come over someday. 3. What are the current and future benefit of applying as a single student. 4. What are the current and future benefit of applying as married student. |

The truth is that accra no dey do anybody anyhow..ppl especially in this forum copy people like a copied assignment.if one person fails the rest will fail.only 1 person cld narrowly escape the failure.treat ur case according to ur personal case, read the requirements from the cic site, learn from ppls mistake, and organise ur application with ur knowledge..when almost every1 copy same SOP here which is 50% of ur selling point without the reader seeing vehemently u have a goal, what do u expect from accra..people have not started treating cases as it applies to them..moreover if u case is complicated, after first application,if you dont v the means to sort ur case, try applying for gcms file before going for another application. 2 Likes |

wayaa007: Not sure that's correct. I was asked to make photocopies of both the certificate and the thumb print pages at VFS and all was collected. Anyone else with similar story? |

If you keep doing the same thing do not expect to get different results. Look carefully at your app identify the issue by applying for a gcms note (do not guess) Take your time to solve it (most times you need time to solve an issue) Be bold enough to do that difficult thing (neglect that thing in your mind saying I have a friend that has done it like this, or goten visa with this course) Make sure a new application has key and obvious changes (not an inclusion of let's say tax clearance) This is my one cent as we plan to reapply if first delayed. A lot of people tend to rush (I was once a victim of that), but try to kill than hormone telling you to reapply immediately. The truth is time runs so fast, u will see that in no time you will have the visa after waiting a while (its a year after my first application and it still feels like yesterday). God will answer our prayers, let's just be patient and try to better our applications as I do not believe VFS ghana hates us at this time. We just happen to be seeing more of bad news here....people outside here are getting the visas (I can testify to that) 7 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by SegunWamiri(m): 7:37pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
Vblossom: ERM, let me try to answer according to my own understanding. 1. You could be your own sponsor if you have the money in your account, say like 4/5m but if not then a sponsor that can show strong relationship with you plus strong reason for sponsoring you 2. If you would like your wife to come, then apply as married. It makes the journey easier except you don't mind how long it might take because it means that she can't come to Canada on the basis of visiting you nor joining her spouse. There are other means but they just complicate matters in future 3. As far as I'm concerned, there's no current nor future benefit as single. 4. Current benefit as married may be Convincing the VO that you have a strong tie with home country and that you are not intending to come and obtain PR by marrying one of their citizens.. Lolz. Therefore, he/she would likely grant you the study permit Future benefit I think I already answered in 2 However, applying as married on the other hand may be negative in a case where you plan that your spouse accompanies you but the amount available in your account wouldn't be sufficient to cover for your living expenses both and your own tuition. You could be rejected at the Canadian embassy on that basis. think I have tried. All the best 6 Likes |

SegunWamiri:Sigh of relief I can go ahead and apply then. My first degree is in a different field, though related to the one I'm applying to. I want to build on the that and major in this new one I'm applying for. I chose Canada cos of the syllabus and exposure to practical workings in the field at world standard. ^^Would that be a cogent reason? One more thing, most schools I saw don't require English proficiency test scores from Nigerian applicants as stated on their websites. Should I just bank on that or still do English proficiency test in case they later require it of me? Thanks a bunch. |

NewSheriff: Yeah. Sounds cogent to me. However, your age could be worth assessing by the VO. I.e, if you're still young, your application should be fine. Yeah, you don't need the test for admission but if you're looking forward to gaining PR status after study, you can go ahead because you'll need it |

SegunWamiri:Thank you very much. I'm still young - below 25. Is it possible to do the test in Canada haven been admitted? I think it must have expired before I graduate if I do it here now as I heard it's valid for only 2 years. 1 Like |

Hello All, remember me? Reporting live from Canada Well, if I offended anyone; I'm sorry. I'm not that bad Canada is beautiful. Just keep ur hopes up and don't give up if u really want it that bad. But most importantly, be very rational and adopt a stone cold approach in ur application. Leave out all d emotional and spiritual stuff I see here sometimes, these guys don't reason like that. Let me lift some spirits here... Never give up Comrades... Remember that dude that came here almost spamming about no acknowledgement mail or SMS after paper submission? Yes that same guy is me... I still never got acknowledgement mail but I tried sending multiple correction mails to CIC as advised. I did multiple times that I needed to advice my self to stop so as to avoid been seen as desperate... All that was done to forestall future mistake as I confirmed from VFS that a letter was ommited from my email username. My medical mail was the first CIC mail I saw in my box from them and it dropped on the 14th of March with a 14 days ultimatum to report for medicals. I chose to do it in PH and went on the 23rd. Finally, to God be the glory, Approval mail dropped yesterday on the 29th. I applied via paper route on 25th Feb tho in Lagos. Guess CIC now has faster processing time. 21 Likes |
