Good Morning All, fantastic job you are doing here. Pls, what are the recent happenings in the capital market that one can be asked to write an essay on or discuss about ? I will gladly appreciate your responses.

My suggestion - "The impact of foreign capital on the valuation of equities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange"

Also " Correlation analysis on Nigerian Stock exchange All Share Index (NSEASI) vis a vis crude oil and commodity prices".

If you're targeting dividend or JIJO with a small margin, this is about the best time to enter.

Some of us first entered at N11.00 and have been averaging down since, so we don't really find these small small percentage increase amusing or welcome. For us FBNH has been disappointing to say the least!

Thanks a lot.

Wait for a stock to be marked down, track its descent till the stock starts to build a support price. Zenith is at an advanced stage in this process (looks like it has reversed and it's seeking to establish a support price). WAtch UBA.....looking at a price N2.85-N2.92. Afriprud at N2.28 or less.

These price target might be revised downwards as the market directs.

I guess so. But the irrationality is gradually dispelling. Somebody has placed a huge bet at 1.3 so investors are getting encouraged. grin

This market is ruled by the money!

That is it sir. There's strong possibility that FBNH would pay nothing as far as today's information is concern, but tomorrow is another day and information can change overnight. They don't make that much. As you said, Mr. Market might surprise us. In all, we should just be careful cool

Note: this is not a recommendation to buy/sell this stock. Do your own assignment!

I learnt this the hard way as well...

Going forward I always use the concept of a trailing stop-loss.

If a stock you are holding for JIJO loses value by 5% ... SELL, you can buy back at lower levels.

If you are holding a stock and it is appreciating in value, at the end of EVERYDAY revise your stop-loss position upwards that way you can make sure to lock in some gains.

The only exception to this rule is when you are sure a stock (from every fundamental and industry analysis) is significantly undervalued.

As for FBNH, if you are not in it for the long term... Just take your L and move on with life
Many thanks, just learnt something new
