I shared my thoughts about transcorp at around 6.45am on 31st March 2016 on Nairaland, but fortunately or unfortunately the moderators deleted it. I think investors need to have the right information about the companies they invest in, anything short of this is gambling.

I pray this company survives another 5 years

The only people making money from Transcorp and her subsidiaries is Tony and his guys. Shareholders are on a very long thing, I am sure the company will sooon come to the market to raise more funds.

Investors and traders cannot make money from JIJO alone, they need to have indepth information about the companies they are investing and how investors' funds are utilised.

While shareholders are going home empty handed except for the 1 for 20 bonus that was given, which will later lead to share reconstruction in the nearest future, Transcorp spent over N9 billion on administrative expenses. The break down can be foung in the annual report.

Yet Tony and co earned hundreds of millions if not billions as management and technical service fee, management earned incentive fees of over N900 million, Directors earned N544 million, CEO earned N94 million, Bank charges of N180 million which is different from loan payment, write-off of fixed income investment domiciled with BGL N377 million, repairs and maintenance N727 million, electricty and diesel cost N907 million, travels and hotel accomodation N407 million, staff cost N1.88 billion, other operating expenses like security, PR, subscription N710 million. TOTAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND GENERAL EXPENSES WAS N9.6 billion.

Yet they did not deem it fit to pay a dividend of as little as 1k per share to shareholders which would have cost them a total of about N387 million. This amount is less than the N544 million spent on 8 directors of the company and just
...........................................................................................................................................................................................

I can see Transcorp is trying to cut cost in the area of remuneration, but they need to do more. The CEO earned N192 million in 2014, but was reduced to N94 million in 2015, the chairman in person of Tony earned about N134 million in 2014 which was reduced to N43 million in 2015.

Management should please remember the shareholders, now that the company will soon approach them for the injection of more funds into the company.

NB, i do not own Transcorp shares.

These are my thoughts on Transcorp, the figures quoted can be found in the 2015 annual report.

The post was deleted by the moderators in the morning, but thank God for the super moderator in person of Seun Osewa.

We just de do kalo kalo for NSE.
Most of the results we see are not true. The board and d mgt decides how much they want to declare. Some can make hug money and declare less, some can make small and declare big, then reduce the payout. Don't forget the financial engineering by coys.

Reason is autospambot. If you post about 3 post concurrentlyin a short time you will be banned.
I was banned sometime last week and decided to serve my ban cos I was getting so addicted to the forum.

That is why what I use in authenticating any result is the dividend declared and paid, mind you some companies used to take bank loans in order to pay dividend.

What @Mercy said is true. It is not the content that causes the deletion and the ban. It can also be just one post that you edit more than 3 times in a short period. I believe it is automatically done by the system and not by human moderator. Mine happened over this Easter holiday, and I got unbanned just this morning. So do not get annoyed and blame anybody.

This is why I get angry when i see people becoming loyal to this coys.
The same coys that doesn't care if the shareholders exist.

Remember how some people are claiming loyalty to OANDO until OANDO do them something.

The only people I follow when investing in the NSE are the institutional and foreign investors.
