OLAADEGBU:The spiritual realm has an order of authority. It's like a government arrangement. Those at the top are served while those at the bottom serve. And there are different levels of service and authority. 1 Like |

They don't necessarily fight to kill rather to subdue and rule. An immortal cannot be killed doesn't mean it can't be caged. When they are subdued, The abyss is there waiting for the losers. 1 Like |

italo:He must have been referring to their bodies, that they have no physical flesh but are spirits. I do not believe they fight together with Angels. Am saying this based on scriptures concerning the place and role of the saints during the battles of the end of the age; 1. Their rising is at the end of this age Matthew 27:52 | And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 2. They are somewhere waiting Revelation 6: 9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: Someone explain the prophecies of the coming back of Moses and Elijah to prepare the way for Christ in the same context... Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: |

Continuity is ad infinitum. It's a spirit. like Angels and demons. They don't die. They were at the beginning before creation and will be there for us to join when we die and become abstracts. 1 Like |

OLAADEGBU: if angels and demons are immortal, will their immortality alone realize their goals or thwart opposing goals from being enforced? So,sir, your question is illogical. |

OLAADEGBU:Depends on what is at stake. For example, Daniel's persistence in faith and prayer made the Angelic intervention possible. If Daniel had given up in unbelief, the story would have been different. 1 Like |

OLAADEGBU: Popular fiction, such as the novel This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti, often features lurid descriptions of spiritual battles in which demons are dispatched by sword-wielding angels with a slash, a flash, and a puff of smoke. The implication is that the demons "die" somehow when sliced in half by angelic blades. It should go without saying that our theology should be based on what the Bible says, not contemporary novels. The Bible teaches the reality of spiritual battle (Jude 1:9). But the Bible also says that, after the final judgment, demons will be consigned forever to the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10). Since demons (and angels) do not “die” or suffer physical wounds, what is the point of doing spiritual battle? |

If angels and demons can't die, what is the point of their engaging in battle? If angels and demons are immortal, why do they bother fighting each other? |
