harmless011:an essential commodity is that commodity that has the power to drive the economy of a nation to any lenght, depending on its availability....if PMS is unavailable at all for a week,I bet you, tins will go beyond the dogs...petrol drives virtually all activities, services and fnctions in this nation...so on tthat note, its not bad to priortize it for now,it doesn't mean agriculture will be abandoned as before.... 1 Like |

‘To this end, we have also kept trans-shipment vessels in Warri, Calabar depots for easy reach to the northern and southern parts of the country. “Today, we also held a meeting with officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, to join forces with the Nigeria Police to monitor and follow products distribution from the depots to the retail outlets to cut short on sharp practices. Well done Kachikwu, but you know the emboldened is just about "how much . . .". |

knuckbuck: They were the same people that stopped others from importing (even when they don't have the capacity to do it alone) over sabi, Buhari I-can-do-it-alone attitude. Ended up turning the nation in a circle without moving forward. 2 Likes |

Emekamex:Exactly!! Unfortunately, they tried doing that because they didn't want to continue to service the accounts of unscrupulous elements known as oil marketers who were fleecing Nigeria with their bogus claims. Without making mistakes, someone won't move forward. I believe they have learnt from their mistakes. Now that the bulk of the responsibility has been shifted off them back to private sector, the bogus claims won't come up again. |

AntiIPOB: Did you read & understand the article? On the contrary, the people you mentioned will be happy because Buhari ended up making a fool of himself by going back to the marketers he initially rejected. That has been the cause of the fuel crisis, NNPC alone does not have the capacity yet to be the sole importer. 1 Like |

Re: Fuel Scarcity: FG Prioritizes Products Distribution by NeeYoh(m): 10:58am On Apr 01, 2016 |
Some say the current fuel scarcity is caused by the present government in power trying to make Nigeria’s refineries functional by cutting off refined petroleum imports so the available fuel is what is being produced by our refineries. Another version states that the government wants NNPC to be the sole distributor of fuel in Nigeria while other sources say the scarcity is caused by pipeline vandals, whichever is the case; all we want is power! |
