If Bayelsa want to secede, they know already they can not win the whole of Nigeria by force, so they will go about it legally and civilly without any infraction on others by passing a resolution to that effect in their house of assembly and above all notifying the UN and pleading to the UN to grant the request. The UN will be the deciding institution, maybe they will now say Bayelsa must not leave Nigeria and that their fears are unfounded, it will be the UN decision, totally UN decision but the people in the UN are reasonable people and they will do the right thing IF YOU ASK THEM. Once Bayelsa becomes independent, they have their own army and police and take total control of their future.

So Bayelsa does not need Igbos or Yorubas to support them if they decide to leave Nigeria. In thesame manner, Igbos do not need Yoruba neither do the Yoruba need Igbos to secede from Nigeria. Hausas or Kanuris do not need Yoruba or Igbo support too.

Should this be done by the Yoruba. Yes of course, you have to do your part, the thing you know is right to do even if you are not sure it will succeed. BUT OF COURSE IT WILL SUCCEED.

Eku arojinle, esi ku kole daa. I have always supported Igbo's in their agigation for Biafra. This is their dream, who then am I to rub it on their face that their dream should be jettisoned for an unworkable country? It's high time we realized that our religion should be Yoruba. Yoruba before anything. That's why despite the uncouth behavior of Fayose, he always positions the interest of Yoruba first in his dealings

That's exactly what i meant by southern unity that many fails to understand. Unite to achieve a common goal, then go your separate ways after the achievement.

How do you go separate ways without border dispute?

Before going into alliance with any group we must discuss and agree on border lines.

Its good that my yoruba brothers are now seeing the bigger picture. You (Yorubas) & we (Igbos) may have our differences, which largely borders on rivalry caused by Nigerian unitary system. The greatest mistake ever made was Lord Lugards amalgamation of 1919, the north has remained a baggage or clog on our wheel of progress, most of the positive attributes of Nigeria comes from the south both human & material resources while most of the negative draw-backs comes from the north!

Why do you say the UN will never wade in when they waded in in Sudan. This is the 21st century and not the middle ages and this is Nigeria where the Boko Haram have killed thousands over many years in a bid to set up an Islamic state in the North east of Nigeria. The UN will wade in, the UN is in support of self determination for all groups. They want the Boko Haram to have their Sharia and if not for a UN guaranteed sovereignty, Nigeria as it is today would not exist as it is not up to the task. It would have been colonised.

Do not be so pessimistic or short sighted. Do the little you can do which costs you almost nothing. Share this post on twitter and facebook alike. Tag hundreds of people and discuss it freely but do not instigate violence or call for war. Encourage Hausas, Igbos, Igala and etc to do thesame. Sensitize people. Make it go viral and within a few months, with hundreds of thousands of passionate foot soldiers, the ball will be set rolling and Nigeria will break up.

Media Media and Media

The first step is to sensitize our people. Re-awakening of our people should the first step, few of our people really know Nigeria is irredeemable. Most of our people don't know that the earlier we jump out of the sinking ship the better for us and our unborn children.

We need an online radio station based in abroad. We won't be insulting people like Kanu, we would only be sensitize our people. Our people really need to be told The Forced Marriage Will Never Work Till Jesus Cometh.

From there, we would move to the next stage having had the support of majority of our people.

IPOB, MASSOB or Boko Haram are not against breaking up Nigeria and this post is about that. So why should they be against this post? I dont understand your point. I am the OP and I agree with the IPOB and Boko Haram that Nigeria should be broken up. Outside perpetrating or threatening violence, we are doing exactly thesame thing.
Re: Ile Kaaro Ojiire (the Yoruba) And Nigeria. by ycat: 6:37am On Apr 02, 2016
You are the man oh jare!

I can't believe what I'm reading from some so called Yoruba here about southern unity. Most people looking for southern polar bag here are not Yoruba anyway. They are mostly impostors, they are afraid their favorite people they love to hate are leaving and will be left with no one to hate on, NO MUMU LIKE YORUBA you know, Yoruba are the only people that can be insulted and still sing praises of their abuser, you can't beat that. What makes them think the ibos really want to be on their own when they have refused to tow the clear path to that effect? They have found time to make the secession more about Yoruba than their independence, insulting us day and night. It's suicidal for Yoruba to count on any southern solidarity when we still don't know why we are hated when all we have shown them is love. Can anyone tell why these people can't sabotage our efforts when the opportunity presents itself halfway? We might as well remain in Nigeria if we are still going to take some baggage along, they are as much a threat to us as the people we want to leave behind, they are just afraid to die while Hausa/fulani aren't. Don't get it mixed up, Ibos are still fighting us with everything in their power, so are the Hausa to a certain extent. The Yoruba in kwara are kogi should speak for themselves.

Some Yoruba have lost their sense.of self and so much used to being beaten by the police and soldiers that they are willing to put up with abuse from others when all they need to do is put their foot down and say ENOUGH!

We can stand alone and we need to work towards that, alone. And if others in the south want the same, let them go after it and we will meet at the ECOWAS and UN like you said. And to those who must have ibos or others, I'm sure you can follow them to their countries and get permanent residency to live out your dream with them, and let those who want to be free from abuse have peace.

Hinging Yoruba's plan for autonomy on moving with others is witless, and it's like a prosecutor that builds his case on a bipolar witness, we know he will regret ever filing the charges. Yoruba be wise, there's no tribe in Nigeria we can walk alongside to our future, neither do we need the diversion from even attempting to look for friends. If others want what we want, let's go after it independently and meet at the end.

lawani:

Secession is not war. What is needed is unity of purpose and unanimity. So we need to get leaders like former President Obasanjo to support the move, then it will be a done deal as he can get the support of others that is needed.
