Yoruba is the most upset tribe in Nigeria about Biafra. The reason is that Yoruba is most divided between Christian and Muslim Yoruba.
So the Christian Yoruba is most afraid of Biafra because they know that any New Nigeria comprising the Yoruba and northern Nigeria must end up to become a country governed with sharia criminal laws.

See this clown.

Definitely you do not have any insight into Yoruba and religion, most especially Christian and Islamic faith.

One hopeathand is NOT ikwerre nor from Rivers state. He's equivalent to the shachris nigga. The dude rarely even knows much about Ikwerre talk less River state he claims he's from. He's been taught repeatedly about the two things he claims he is on this NL and I've that shit with my own two bloody eyes. If you doubt me, go through Ezepromoe post especially during his discussion with that hopeathand. The dude has repeatedly proven what a wannabe that the hope whatever dude is till the point he now avoids the ezepromoe guy just to shameless be the pathetic ikwerre wannabe. Its equivalenf to shachris avoiding pazienza and co for repeatedly dragging him during his igbo wannabe claim....i swear when i tell you this people are pathetic. They are truly pathetic!!!!

While I'm at it, the attack on SS is not warranted. I'm from SS and I support Biafra and there many of us like me. Afterall, we protested way more than SE, excluding aba, did. Next time use SOME during your attack.

Call Ezepromoe for as long as possible, you cannot sit behind your PC and determine wether im Ikwerre or not. Take or leave it, your heartache.

As for biafra, it can be likened to a man who has set his eyes on owning a property primarily on assumptions that neighbours will gift him money. When his hopes are dashed, he turns around to pour invectives at his neighbours.

If pro-Biafra Igbos sincerely want to be taken seriously on this biafra issue, thay should work within the framework of the 5SE states. I repeat, if they are to be considered as being serious, they should work with what they truly have. At this age, it is technically impossible either by coercion or whatever to marry SE with SS as a large percentage of us are suspicious of igbos(with good reason), simply uninterested and see it simply as a change of nomenclature from what Nigeria is.

Dude, you just described yourself, and thought you were describing the average Igbo man or woman.

You hate yourself, that is why you might want to remain a second class citizen in one Nigeria, become converted to Arabian life style and religion.

Igbo doesn't hate Igbo. The effect of the lost civil war made some Igbos suspicious of of some Igbo. People like you are the Igbo saboteurs who made some Igbos start to be suspicious of their fellow Igbos.

Ignorance is a disease. U don't know that Igbos merely troop to Nairaland to sell their cases for Biafra to rest of Nigeria. In Biafra online publication, it shall be like a monologue, that is Igbos talking about Biafra and Igbos responding. What do agitators for Biafra gain from such monologue?
Guy park well, make intelligent Igbos waka pass.

You may be living in Lagos, and wouldn't like to lose your earthly business and landed property with breaking dysfunctional Nigeria. Do you ever wonder what shall be the fate of your offspring in one Nigeria?
Guy listen, IPOB so far has silenced those who intimidate and humiliate you Igbo Lagosian: since IPOB demonstrations, those who tell Igbos to go back to their erosion-ravaged southeast, those who threaten you with Lagoon treatment, those who call you visitor in Lagos, visitor in a town in Nigeria which you call your country, they have been silenced, now they struggle for how to keep Igbo in one Nigeria, no more molestation, no more intimidation for your lot.

Guy park well biko. They don't sell intelligence in the market place.

Guy, you're a legendary mumu.
So, you think IPOB has really done all those imagination of yours right
That IPOB that's a paper tiger?
Wait a bit and let any miscreant overstep his or her boundaries, you'll know Lagos authorities does not succumb to blackmail and sentiments. To believe your nonsense Kanu is the greatest disservice to your academic life.
And FYI, IPOD just made a spurious claims that Buhari has killed 3,500 Biafrats thereby trying to blackmail folks like you to folly.
Thank GOD, some true Igbos can see beyond the rues of fifth columnists.

stop coming across as someone who is silly.

What can be attributed as pretence from me?. From day one on NL till today, ive always identified and promoted Ikwerre because im a proud one. Both my parents are. And im extremely grateful to God for being one.

It is a shame of the highest order to denounce your ethnic group, especially on a faceless forum. That is shameful thing alot of you Igbos do on NL. Strenght of Character is the true distinction between Igbos and Ikwerres.

At least in Igboland Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi intermarry, but Yorubas are divided within their self that they don't intermarry among Yoruba states like Igbos.

This your analysis is true, Nigeria is filled with tribalism even among the tribes, that is why tribalism is killing Nigeria, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and minority tribes are all bunch of tribal bigot them, that is why Nigeria cannot move forward, after more than 50 years of independence, no light, no fuel, no water,no affordable housing, no job for the youth, no food, chaiiii what a country cry cry cry cry shocked shocked

Nigeria has tapped crude oil for more than 50 years from the SS? Today, there's is neither electricity not petroleum products to power the country. But. despite blockade, Igbos built and ran refineries throughout the civil war.

So what makes you believe, like Fulani divide-and-rule people tell you that Igbo wants to capture your crude oil in the SS in Biafra?
If by any chance you are truly from SS, you are one of the few remaining victims of Fulani divide-and-rule politics.
.Fulani doesn't believe that north can survive without crude oil. Igbo can survive and excel in Biafra without crude oil.

If by any chance you are truly from the SS, or even a Yoruba, you need to be taken to an Almajiri under a tree in Kano to be taught lessons on Nigeria's failed political process which Fulani still struggles to maintain because it profits most from SS crude oil.

Suspicious of Igbos in SS, yet your so called oil is owned 100% by the North with your place been left in everlasting dilapidated environmental pollution with no common clean drinking water. Who need you in Biafra, is not by force, you can stay with the North. Biafra is not about oil but about freedom, justice and equality

People ask me why i do not support Biafra even though i'm a proud Nwa afo; A homogenous igbo society would be as boring asf. Why? Let's overlook the pretenses for a second, and all the false sense of brotherhood. The bitter truth is that we hate ourselves. A typical igboman is more accommodatiing to a stranger he's met just for a day than a brother he's known his entire life. We feel we are in competition against ourselves always. A typical visit to any igbo village would confirm this truth. Most of the youngmen are running far away from home because most people at home would do anything to make sure they do not succeed. An igboman would prefer to help a foreigner get a job in his office than his own kin.
The crab mentality is the bane of the typical igbo society.

You do not need to look far to see this. You remember the Nairaland Biafrans boycott? and how many of us swore to never ever visit this forum again? and how we went ahead to start our own 'igbo' forums. grin

Those seemingly igbo forums are a typical example of what Biafra would look like if it ever comes to pass.

I followed those forums. From Biafra Republic to Ala Biafra and then Biafra town. The first few weeks every member was high on Biafra. People were trooping in like crazy. One of the forums even had up to 2000 signups in a day. Even Nairaland would be jealous of that stats. Promises were made. Loud members were ranting on how they were going to build a forum that would beat Nairaland hands down. They promised huge sums.

Few weeks down the line, the forum is still active. some members joined, some couldn't bear it and bummed off. The forum remained active. More promises made and none kept.

2 months down the line, the forums have turned to graveyards. All the flare and plomp are gone. people start wondering what the hell they were doing here in the first place. all members flee and return back to the Nigerian forums they all love and leave the wonderful biafran forums to die a slow and painful death.

Biafra republic that used to have 3000 members online can't even boast of 3 users online. Biafratown is really pathetic but i must commend the admin. Dude posted 3000 topics all by himself grin. Ala biafra is dead and gone. embarassed

This is a true reflection of what biafra would look like. After the pomb and flare, the reality starts to bite and people go back to their vomits. But this time around, they might not be as lucky and the vomit might no longer be available to swallow back.

Biafra is boring and i want no part of it. cool

Oh I see! You think the agitation is an online membership competition! Didn't you get the memo? People are out there protesting all over the world, singing solidarity songs, waving flags, bringing attention to that which matters to them, taking gunshots from the Nigerian security forces in the process and here you are more interested in what sites have more trafick? You are not ashamed of your self?

What you are happy about is to answer to a stupid name and doctrine imported by a British exploiter called Lugard simply because you don't gave the guts of those out there agitating. I laugh in Igbo because colonial mentality is a disease which when it gets hold of a person, it almost never lets go.

The only point I really agree with you 100% is the singular cankerworm called quota system which has held Nigeria backwards for decades. If there is any form of division I would support, it is a north-south divide or pure regionalism and nothing more. Developed and advanced nations across the world are looking for ways to come together and that is for a good reason, however in Africa, all we talk of is division.

I can assure you that the other issue you mentioned such as the government being close to the people etc will not bring about any positive change. I could dare you to point out any society which really got better after division in Africa. We've divided states, we've divided LGAs countless times, but can we really point out how that helped us to get better governance?.... The best governors we've ever had since Nigerian history (e.g. Dee Sam Mbakwe) led the mega states of Imo and Abia combined. Can we say we've had better leadership since those states were divided?.... I'm sure we all know the answer to that to be a capital NO.

The point is simple, there's a serious dearth of leadership, people get to power for the very wrong reasons and the true patriotic and visionary people will never be allowed by even you and I to get into power for some of the most flimsy reasons. No amount of division can solve the problem of leadership deficit.

My point is this, the problems which have made us unable to achieve anything as one Nigeria, those problems will not be solved by splitting, we would only add more complications to our problems. The grass always looks greener on the other side though, but this is just my opinion based on the way I see things; I may be wrong, and you may also be wrong. Another thing I would like to point out is the haste with which the entire secession plan is being processed, I think this recent widespread secession campaign is driven purely by emotions and without deep thought; emotions of anger fuelled by last year's election. No reasonably progressive decision can be made out of emotions.

Obailala,am still waiting for what we have achieved as one Nigeria because what you have said isn't good enough to keep us as one.

I have thought over and over again and realised that Africa need to be decolonized because a lot of people with different ideas can't agree and this alone hinders development but when like minds(if we divide)think together the probability of development to non development is 85:15

I think we will definitely do better as a divided country (if the old eastern region can contribute money to build the Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri they will do more as a separate nation from Nigeria) from Nigeria, it always looked as if the old south easterners doesn't love themselves the answer is NO they love themselves just that the harsh economic survival for them after the civil war made them to look as if they hate themselves.

I put it to you, give easterners there own country today and watch out what happens in the next 4 years.
