its easier for a 'corporate begger' to get a US visa than someone with a good job but with no ''I am doing fine appearance''

Thanks All for your responses. This is my real situation: I have a wife and Three Children. The last is just 3months old. By September we plan going for a Family vaction, since the children will be on holiday by then.

My Company acc is fat.
My personal account is also fat. I have up to 7m bal.

Should I use the personal account( does not show all money transfer from my company to my personal account, because some clients pay directly to my personal acc.)

or

should I use the company account

or should I use both?

Please friends guide me well. I want to know the documents to get ready.

I beg to disagree. I didn't have a boss look when I got my USA visa o and even up till now the boss look is not there. I was around my mid-twenties, single then and I told them my salary was 25k and the visa was given to me.

Sorry but that is a Nigerian attitude and will not work with the Visa officers!
In the Western countries business account is to run the business not personal spending.
A personal account is your money to use.

This poster should use his personal account which must be healthy and show where funds come from. ( No large un-identified deposits)
The business account can be used as one of the ties to return home as long as it shows a healthy running business with traceable records.

If SHE sends a letter saying what expenses she will cover that is good for your budget.
An invitation letter on it's own does not count for much with a USA visa.
The very most important thing will be your ties to prove that you will return home after your visit.
Then your budget and available money.

You keep saying business account and personal account....if you're the sole signatory to your business account why can't u use it for personal use? We have a lot of business owner using the same business account for personal use and main reason is because of tax and personal reason some men do not want their wife to be joint signatory with them so they maintain the business account.
The truth is you can get a letter of introduction from your bank that you're the owner of the account and the sole signatory to the said account and all is well so far the amount in the account is very okay. I see nothing wrong in using your business account as your personal account.

@worry359 is very correct. You cannot use a company's bank statement for visa application if your purpose of travel is for pleasure. If you're in doubt, you can submit an application at the UK consulate. If you're going for business related purposes, your company covers the cost, but for pleasure, you cover the cost. It doesn't matter whether you get a reference letter from your bank or not, rules are rules and must be strictly adhered to.

@Beniyoha01. It is a wrong thing to do. You cannot use a company's account if your purpose of travel is for pleasure or romance, it is only acceptable for business related purposes, training, workshop etc. Yes, as the business owner, you can go along with both personal and business statements of account, but the question "who is paying for the trip" It must be an individual and not a company since it is not a business visa application.

@kooljay5. Don't lose sleep over this issue, US visa officers are not interested in your documents. In your application you must state that you are the one covering the cost of the trip and not your company. And it doesn't matter how much you have in your bank account. The officer is only interested in the proof of funds from a verifiable source. Good luck to you and the family.

I am currently in the UK doing HND (my program will finish in June and my visa expires on August this year). i am a little worried about this but i get faith...nothing dey happen (please note i intend continuing my studies in the UK by doing a Top cup course 1 year and also doing masters...will apply for visa later this year to extend my stay)

A little digression ....Just of recent, my uncles wife in the USA just called and asked of me and said she wanted me to come for holidays in USA (she is a nurse with a very good salary). P.S she has been in the US for almost 25 years now and hubby has been in USA for over 30 years(hubby does not work anymore). Infact, anytime they come to naija, they always arrive in our house and all the projects they carried out in the village has always been carried out by my dad on their behalf (they trust my dad so much).

she is ready to send me an invite and every necessary stuff needed so i am thinking of applying this month so as to be able to get a letter from school. Please house, are there any other documents i should tell her to send over to me?

Please i know all the documents needed but i just want all the elders to help look at my case and probably tell me other things that may be needed. i need response to this urgently cos i will be asking her to send documents from the USA by next week.

I think you need to be tactical about your chances
1) Do you work in the U.K? if it's legal get a letter of employment and also permission to go on leave at that time.
2) Are you married or single? If single you need to work on your travel history....
3) I think it will be better if she can send the funds for flight and hotel so that it will reflect in your account that is if they ask to see your bank statement
4) Pray hard

I agree with you , VO are highly intelligent people , they can easily spot lies. But I ll still maintain that so many genuine applicants are refused visa. That's Y its looks like baba ijebu. There is no formal standard of rating or Judging. Its more of at the sole discretion of the VO than what you are actually are.

You need to prove your ties to the UK right now your visa expires.Cos the time you want to travel you would have concluded your program
Else they will tell you to apply in Nigeria.

If you want to apply do it when you have gotten visa approval for the masters.
