After reading Isaiah 66: 16,17 16 "For with fire and with his sword the LORD will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the LORD." 17 “Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things—they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the LORD. After reading these powerful words by Isaiah about what the Lord declares he will do during his second coming why would one preach or teach that it is ok to eat swine's flesh? If there is any scripture that discredits these verses please bring them forth.

Were Christians giving the law not to eat pig or any other unclean animals? No! In fact when Peter who recently became a christian was ask by God to each certain animals, he pronounced them unclean according to the law of the Jews. However he was told not to condemn what has been made clean. (Acts 10: 9-16). So apart from food sacrificed to idols (acts 15:28,29), no food is prohibited to a Christian.

They coming of Jesus Christ nullified or rather modified so many things in the old testament.

But Jesus categorically declared in Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill".If he came to fulfill them then he didn't nullified them.

In the context of Peter's trance, what God was showing him is figurative. The reason is not farfetched due to unparalleled relationship the Jew's had with the gentiles. If God has not told him in the trance that what he termed as unclean is clean in His(God's) sight,Peter wouldn't have followed the servants of Cornelius because the Jews generally believe that the gentiles are unclean.

Ephesians 2:15.The purpose of Jesus’ life and work was to fulfill both the Law (the books of Moses) and the Prophets (other Old Testament books). He did not destroy the Old Testament. But that doesn’t mean that Christians have to keep circumcision and all the other old laws. Jesus’ ministry caused many changes in the law — changes so dramatic that laws were “set aside” or declared “obsolete” (Hebrews 7:18; 8:13). Some laws remained the same, some were changed, and others were “abolished” (Ephesians 2:15).

When Jesus said, “I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets,” he did not mean that each specific law would stay exactly the same. He meant that the purpose and message of the Law and the Prophets remain exactly the same. The Law and the Prophets pointed to him and were intended from the beginning to be fulfilled by him.

God used that symbol for a purpose. One, to show that He has extended salvation to the gentiles wothout them needing to be Jewish proselytes or get circumcised. Two, to show peter that as christian they were not under the law given to the Jews through Moses, which included the ceremonial cleanliness of animals and persons etc. If you had read Act 15:28-29, when the issue of circumcision arose between Jewish christians and gentile Christians, the apostles in Jerusalem stated few things christians were required to keep.

So with this scriptural references, it seems you are in support of eating pork?

Yahweh is like the Samsung Galaxy phone. It changes from old edition to the new edition.

On a serious note, the Bible is an arbitrary collection of books. Politicians assembled the ones which favored them and discarded the rest. But you don't have to believe me, do your own independent research.

It's open season on Yahweh. I've been blaspheming publicly against Yahweh for years. Good thing he didn't create time and space or I would have received a slap by now.

Try it and see how sweet it is. Pick a god who you don't think created the universe, and then insult it. See what happens.
