@zeelady before I got to the end of your transcript, I knew u were going to be refused. 800k ke? In which Nigeria and USA? Ha. U booked a suite (note not an apartment) and I assume u used that addy to book for your interview. Now, the cost for the full period u would have spent for the whole birthing process did not reflect in your budget sheet and all the long story of staying with relatives did not come up. Again was flight and feeding part of the 800k? Conclusion: half and half story equals not convincing ergo denial. 1. Folks have reapplied soon after refusal. U explain that due to the shortness of time, u have to reapply Immedately. 2. Did u fill that u do not have relatives in the US? If yes then it would indeed make u appear a liar. 3.U tell the truth how the money came by. 4. In my opinion, your husband's absence was not the issue. Also realise that if he applies with u that u also have to factor in his flight money. Prepare a better budget sheet. Get your stories str8. Be ready to defend every item on your budget sheet 5 Likes 1 Share |

@damidamsel so sorry I haven't responded, been busy with my cutie! My Stanbic card actually worked as a debit card on the POS machine. You can also try this store called 'Starter Bros', that's if it's in ur locality. What was weird was that I initially tried to do a POS chargeback and it just didn't go! Kept declining! But the money order worked 2 Likes |

Wow part 4, Na so time dey fly.Adebrave,Justwise and other NL elders I greet you. Zeelady, I think the reason for your refusal was insufficient funds... What you need to do as some other poster said, get your budgeting right, make sure your bank statement , birth plan, and funding is robust enough to cover additional bills, emergencies, living costs , transportation and much more. You would stand a better chance applying alone, as your husband would be your proof of ties back in Nigeria. I hope this helps. 2 Likes 3 Shares |

@iphie26 I never drop o! counting down. The traffic is not so bad. I said so considering how terrible naija traffic can be but it usually happens in the evenings. So it's best you can to the malls early in the morning by 10am and leave before it builds up. @Dunnygee Welcome to Atlanta. which ob/gyn are you using? |

Petdaughter: Thanks @Chrisdew and @Abefeokin for your response. @Petdaughter, tx i will try other stores that can process money order using debit card like Albertsons as Abefeokin suggested. Don't think Starter Bros is in my locality as m in Philly. Will give feedback on wat store works when i succeed!!! 1 Like |

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I have a question. I have a USA visa, been there once, that was last year and I work in a bank. I'm pregnant now and not married yet. I intend to travel to the USA wen I'm 23 weeks and return wen I'm 26weeks as I do not intend to give birth there. My agent got me a ticket that lands me at Chicago POE. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks |

omodadi: thank you for your advice. but will applying to a different location make any difference. my first interview was in Abuja. and honestly I don't have strength to start going to Lagos. about bank statement? monthly income is just a little above 200. the new money is just a deal hubby did that clicked. hubby does other freelance jobs outside his main job. from the advice I have already got. I won't go back with hubby. 2 Likes |

Zeelady, like I told you on the other thread, your budget of 800K is the main reason of your denial as its not practical. Before you re-apply, post your budget sheet here, so the house can help you put it in place. Things to consider : Return tkts Doctors fees Hospital fees Ped Baby's documentation Transportation (to and fro hospital) Miscellaneous Etc I'm not sure changing interview location nor the sudden inflow of money in your account matters as the VO according to you didn't even get to check your account statement. However, if you re-apply and asked about that be honest in your response : your hubby's contribution / monetary support to you. 3 Likes |

Good day people, I have gone through some of the pages in this thread and the previous one. Please I would appreciate some experienced counsels. My wife is currently in Dallas to give birth. She is 36 weeks. We couldn't secure PTA before she travelled. Now, we will love to use the form A to pay for her bills, but all the hospitals we've spoken to do not accept wire transfer (form A) for payment. Please I would really appreciate any advise on a Dallas hospital that will do form A. This is especially urgent as she is really advanced at 36 wks Meanwhile, someone gave us an OB package for JPS hospital in Dallas which requires us to processs temporary Tarrant county ID for her. Has anyone used this before? Does this translate to using the US govt funding? I really want to be sure so we dont get to speak long grammer in the future. Thanks for the good work here. It really is commendable. |

Hello great people!! @ Petdaughter favouredgal, ZillyO & damidamsel, I will be in USA for the next four weeks and intend going with my stanbic credit card. Is it possible to withdraw $300 daily from the ATM to limit of credit becos friend said there is a certain amount allocated for withdrawal while the remaining is supposed to be used for POS transaction.kindly confirm if this is true or if you have encountered it.
