They paid 5 kobo last year. It will be nice if they can pay higher dividend. The question is, would their high debt allow them to?

If the 0.06kobo i heard is true,it is not bad looking at where the company is coming back from.i also expect a good Q1result from them this month.

send them an email they reply as soon as possible they will tell you whether they have your signature specimen or better yet just fill out the e dividend payment form and get a banker's confirmation of your signature then send it to them or the new e-dividend system i have been hearing about
After doing all that, you will have to wait for another 6weeks before getting credited/paid. Been waiting for 3 weeks now going to the forth week after filling the e-dividend form, banker's confirmation and a written letter instructing them to credit my account.Rubbish!!!

"NOTIFICATION ON THE RELEASE OF OANDO PLC’s 2015 AUDITED FINANCIAL
STATEMENTS
The Management of Oando PLC would like to advise our valued shareholders, key stakeholders,
and wider investor community that from available indications we are unlikely to complete our
2015 audit and issue our audited accounts on 31 March, 2016, as required by The NSE Rules
(the Rules).
We have worked diligently with our external auditor, Ernst & Young (“EY”) to ensure a swift
conclusion to the audit process. However, after reviewing the financials, EY indicated that the
Accounts may likely need to be referred to the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (“FRC”)
pursuant to Rule 5 of the recently publicised FRC Rules. We expect the process to be concluded
on or before 31 May, 2016, however this is dependent on the completion of the external review
process as referred to above.
The company’s management would also like to bring to the attention of its shareholders and
the investor community that the accounts of the company at FYE 2015 will be in line with its Q3
2015 performance. The expected decline is attributable to the industry’s downturn, prevalent
economic headwinds, as well as fiscal and monetary restrictions driven by a challenging
macro environment.

While we are actively restructuring the business to adapt to this difficult period, we are optimistic
and steadfast in our commitment to return to profitability in 2016.

I suspect Oando management of trickery. They are suddenly acting all honest and sincere.

There OER business posted a profit which was not expected. The stock rallies, and they immediately come out to tell us that we should not be carried away. " That full year will be in line with Quarter 3.

Alright, but then this press release came in around 1:30pm, on Friday, yet the bids didn't reduce neither did the offer really increase as the stock still closed on its possible highest for the day.

So its either that the news was not perceived as bad by players, or it is already fully factored in the price or the market was yet to hear the news as at Friday or the current good news pushing the stock is stronger than the supposed bad news.

All the same, let's wait till Monday to see.

I have shares of Oando though, and I am currently sitting on a 9.8% paper gain which I don't intend to lose.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3519536/Saudi-Arabia-planning-end-oil-age-creating-2-TRILLION-investment-fund-big-buy-Google-Apple-Microsoft.html?ito=whatsapp_share_mobile-top

Saudi Arabia is preparing for the end of the oil age by creating a $2trillion investment fund which is set to be ‘the largest on Earth’.

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) established by the kingdom’s second-in-line to the throne will eventually be large enough to buy Google, Apple and Microsoft with money to spare.

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who oversees the fund, claims that the initial public offering could happen as soon as next year.

It comes as Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest crude exporter, insists that it will only freeze its oil output if other key producers, including Iran, take a similar measure.

‘What is left now is to diversify investments,’ the 30-year-old prince told Bloomberg, during an interview from the royal compound in the kingdom’s capital, Riyadh.

‘So within 20 years, we will be an economy or state that doesn’t depend mainly on oil.’

It is nearly 80 years since the first oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia but, with crude prices plummeting worldwide, the nation plans to shake its dependence on the market.

One of the first steps will be for Saudi Arabia to sell shares in Aramco’s parent company, which will transform the oil giant into an 'industrial conglomerate'.

Here we are while some old fart brains are still looking for ways to siphon the remaining national treasury under the disguise of NORTH-EAST OIL EXPLORATION angry

Better do a research and look for a better venture, because NSE is going to the dustbin. Thank me later.

I would really like to trade Nigerian stocks but the more I look the less I see. Damn slow, payment structure and stuff.
Are there manipulations? From some of what I read there might a possibility. Forex seems safer, but stocks should be. Hmm...
If anyone could clarify how it works I would appreciate it.

Abeg carry your wahala dey go.

The only thing I'll regret right now or whenever it goes to the 'dustbin' as you claim is not having deep enough pockets.

Only a war which tears apart a country (God forbid) can call for the kind of caution you preach.

Cheers and happy Sunday

How it works is to buy sheep and sell deer....................
Or buy good, quality stocks, and wait for dividend.
Under most market conditions, there're stocks going down and others going up;
people losing money and others making it.
What we're all trying to do here-and many are succeeding-is to be in the later group most times.

If you feel safer with forex and you know how to trade them well why not stay with what you understand.
