Manonamission: I suspect Oando management of trickery. They are suddenly acting all honest and sincere. There OER business posted a profit which was not expected. The stock rallies, and they immediately come out to tell us that we should not be carried away. " That full year will be in line with Quarter 3. Alright, but then this press release came in around 1:30pm, on Friday, yet the bids didn't reduce neither did the offer really increase as the stock still closed on its possible highest for the day. So its either that the news was not perceived as bad by players, or it is already fully factored in the price or the market was yet to hear the news as at Friday or the current good news pushing the stock is stronger than the supposed bad news. All the same, let's wait till Monday to see. I have shares of Oando though, and I am currently sitting on a 9.8% paper gain which I don't intend to lose. |

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3519536/Saudi-Arabia-planning-end-oil-age-creating-2-TRILLION-investment-fund-big-buy-Google-Apple-Microsoft.html?ito=whatsapp_share_mobile-top Saudi Arabia is preparing for the end of the oil age by creating a $2trillion investment fund which is set to be ‘the largest on Earth’. The Public Investment Fund (PIF) established by the kingdom’s second-in-line to the throne will eventually be large enough to buy Google, Apple and Microsoft with money to spare. Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who oversees the fund, claims that the initial public offering could happen as soon as next year. It comes as Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest crude exporter, insists that it will only freeze its oil output if other key producers, including Iran, take a similar measure. ‘What is left now is to diversify investments,’ the 30-year-old prince told Bloomberg, during an interview from the royal compound in the kingdom’s capital, Riyadh. ‘So within 20 years, we will be an economy or state that doesn’t depend mainly on oil.’ It is nearly 80 years since the first oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia but, with crude prices plummeting worldwide, the nation plans to shake its dependence on the market. One of the first steps will be for Saudi Arabia to sell shares in Aramco’s parent company, which will transform the oil giant into an 'industrial conglomerate'. Here we are while some old fart brains are still looking for ways to siphon the remaining national treasury under the disguise of NORTH-EAST OIL EXPLORATION |

I would really like to trade Nigerian stocks but the more I look the less I see. Damn slow, payment structure and stuff. Are there manipulations? From some of what I read there might a possibility. Forex seems safer, but stocks should be. Hmm... If anyone could clarify how it works I would appreciate it. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ExLaidback: 6:35am On Apr 03, 2016 |
PETERiCHY: Abeg carry your wahala dey go. The only thing I'll regret right now or whenever it goes to the 'dustbin' as you claim is not having deep enough pockets. Only a war which tears apart a country (God forbid) can call for the kind of caution you preach. Cheers and happy Sunday 3 Likes |

georgesylva: How it works is to buy sheep and sell deer.................... Or buy good, quality stocks, and wait for dividend. Under most market conditions, there're stocks going down and others going up; people losing money and others making it. What we're all trying to do here-and many are succeeding-is to be in the later group most times. |
