Our client, is in search of a school principal and a fine art teacher at a secondary school located on the lagos mainland
The school Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school.

Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired by the Director/Propietress and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.

Job description Facilitates the development of programs and monitors implementation of curriculum that meets the needs of all the student
Maintains a school wide climate and organization for learning (high expectations, cooperation, support, positive attitudes, etc.)
Supervises the guidance program to enhance individual student education and development
Plans, organizes and directs implementation of all school
activities.

Fine Art Teacher:

The fine Art teacher will play a major part in helping the students understand art and to make them like it. He/She will also help the students develop their artistic skills if they wish to stand as artists in the field they choose. The Fine Art teacher must have a lot of patience and be flexible because they have to teach art to people of different ages. Apart from extensive knowledge in art, the teacher must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact and have a successful collaboration with students.

Key Responsibilities include:
Establish, develop and implement art curriculum and course materials for each year
Give lectures to fine art students
Explain different art elements
Teach students how to express themselves through art
Teach and demonstrate various techniques and methods of painting, sketching, designing, sculpting, etc
Maintain file art record and art portfolios of students
Evaluate and grade art students
Provide necessary support and meet student's instructional needs
Provide art supplies and necessary materials (raw materials, books, etc)
Assist and provide the school administration in preparing art classes
Organize contests and art exhibitions

Minimum Requirement:

Extensive knowledge in art history
Excellent teaching skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity and imagination
Patience and ability to work with disabled students as well
Willing to assist and support students
Organizational skills and time management
Responsible and attentive .
Efficient in the use of computer softwares
Must have at list one year experience

I want to thank the person that posted the advert that turn to be Doveland International school, Abuja. I went for the interview on Friday, the interview was three stages. 1 CBT, 2 Micro teaching and 3 oral interview. I got to the third stage but they said i will hear from them. Am still waiting.

This are top notch grade A schools in ibadan... If you get a shot with them, I would advise you give it your best shot and make sure you impress... From a reliable source I was told grade A schools like this in ibadan pay between the range of 50-90 depending on your bargaining prowess and years of experience. Wish you the very best of luck !!!

Phase 1: written test on the subject you applied for (some school do add maths, english, padagogy, and general knowledge)

Phase 2: micro teaching

Phase 3: oral interview with the mgt


Pls note that not all schools follow this phases. But be prepare n remember we all learning. Best of luck.

Normal oral interview questions; from your cv, experience, monthly take home pay, y you leaving/left your recent job(if there is) etc.


But concentrate on passing the written and micro teaching first, that will speak for you ahead of d oral unless d skul starts with oral first
