completely remove subsidy and privatize the refinery, more than enough fuel , with good price regulation , fuel should go for around 150# initially but fall at the long run. will work hard enough to keep NnPc importing most fuel as it is now so they can be setting the pace for the government intended pump price, this is necessary to check the greediness of other importer. 1 Like |

I'll find a way to solve the problem. First get buyers to buy the petroleum products from everywhere and sell at a good price. Secondly, do not accept "no" for an answer until the refineries start working |

I will totally annihilate the cabal of importers by giving them 0 fuel import licenses. I will relate directly with the foreign refineries where oil were being sorted and encourage some loyal business men to invest into ship tankers, have NNPC make deals with other nations for oil vessels...meanwhile, investing massively into building 3 $10billion refineries which will be handed over to foreign and indigenous partners on completion by 2018 |

sainty2k3:If you privatize, the rich ones who have the money to buy that refinery will still oppress the poor by fixing prices as profit is their primary motive! Just look at what is going on in the power sector! |

The problem we are facing is basically supply! 1.The short term solution is to ensure all importation deals are solely handled by NNPC where diversion is sincerely dealt with. 2. Fuel reserves of at least 30-50 millions barrels should be constructed. 3. The National Capacity to refine should be increased to nothing less than 3 to 5 million barrels per day ensuring all four refineries operate efficiently also building new refineries and mandating all Licensed refineries to build and operate! |

Why are we having Fuel Scarcity again? What magic wand did the last administration wave? Could we learn what they did? Find out these things for me and maybe you may not need to ask me this question. |
